Highlands Wine & Liquor is conveniently located next to Sunflower Market in North Denver. They have a large store for the area with a good selection of beer and wine. Their liquor selection is not as broad, but includes many of the staples one would expect to see. They carry a few brands of bitters and other lesser known liquers and additives including Peychauds Bitters and Fee Brothers Orange Flower Water. They always have select beers and wines on sale and have chilled wine available. Their prices, especially sale items, are very affordable and a bit cheaper than other nearby stores. Worth a stop for sure.

Im not sure why there are so many negative reviews on the staff, I had the exact opposite experience. I found the staff to be EXTREMELY friendly, welcoming, and helpful. I asked for recommendations on wines to bring to a BBQ and they suggested an awesome Rose and a Vinho Verde that really impressed the host and guests at the function. Also, the employee took me around and showed me all the beer from local breweries that he recommended for me to try while I was in town. I definitely recommend this place!

Wow! People can be negative. I live over here and this store is great! I was here before there was a liquor store here and if you wanted beer close by you had to get ripped off by the place at 38th and Tennyson. The staff is always super friendly, jokes around, and they have yet to make a bad recommendation. I like Mondo Vino but its more expensive. They also have a mix your own 6 pack which is a great way to try new beers. This place truly feels like a small local store, but its much bigger.

Love these guys. Always super friendly and never talk down to you. Unlike some other neighborhood establishments a few blocks south of here. Highlands Wine & Liquor isnt a convenient stop for me, I choose to drive a little bit further to be treated better and definitely gain more competitive pricing. Most of the wines they carry are stocked at Mondo Vino but are between $2-5 more/bottle at Mondo Vino.

Funny how many businesses get a "middle finger" review profile (look at the white space between the bars). Maybe this is more a reflection of the reviewers than the business? Ive always had great experience with the staff. They have a wide selection and competitive prices. They are also dog-friendly.

I am from out of town and wanted some specialty beer delivered to a colleague in the Denver area. Scott and his team went above and beyond to get the beer I wanted and assure it was delivered in timely fashion. I appreciate all the help and would definately recommend them to anyone!

Unfriendly staff. I had a very unpleasant experience while checking out their whiskey selection. They watch your every move. I was puzzled as to why they were so unfriendly perhaps because of my ethnicity. I will never set foot into this place again.

The owner is a jerk and has bad taste in wine. The rest of the staff is totally awesome. Too bad. The beer selection is so-so. Go to Mondo Vino instead just down the street. Their selection is better and the owner is cool (not a weenie)

Go literally a block east and youll save at least 20% on the exact same items. Not to mention the people were rude, not helpful and acted like they were better than their customers. We will glady save money by spending it somewhere else!!!
