WOW. i was just treated like the absolute scum of the earth at Safeway here in Castle Rock. How. Rude. I feel so insulted, not that im entitled to anything but id like to be acknowledged not ignored when im there and have questions. Stood at the deli department for 15 minutes before this RUDE old lady finally decided to help me, while another lady was yelling over the counter, to talk to her apparent friend that had come in the store, walked right infront of me (again yelling over the counter) didnt bother asking if id been helped. Then went to the meat department, AGAIN stood there for 15 minutes till someone helped me. Then at the register three ladys just talking to each other, didnt say a word to me untill i asked a question. Then went back to talking amongst themselves. Then i had to excyse Myself Between them to grab my bags off the counter myself so i could leave... i was so upset that i almost forgot the package of cola i bought and that was the One decent thing they did was holler at me that i forgot it. Maybe it was just me, hopefully a one time thing, but seriously screw them. im so pissed right now. Called the manager, and judging by the reviews it wont matter...

If I can give them zero stars I would. I have had to go to this Safeway out of convenience, it is close to my home and my work. However, I will not go again. I have purchased MANY items that have been MONTHS expired, the items should have been removed from the shelves. I have purchased bread that was in the sell by date, I brought it home to make a PBJ for my daughter only to find that it was completely covered in mold. I have purchased, tea, milk, bread, cereal, fruit snacks and bad meat, just to name a few. I just went today 08/24/2016 to purchase lunch, I bought a tea, that expired 07/18/2016, I did not even realize it until I took a swig, and looked at the date because it tasted funny. I dont like having to double to check my food when I am purchasing my food for my family. I entrust these people and these stores with this stuff. I have worked in places where you have to stock shelves and ensure that you dont have expired products out. Each time that I have showed them and brought it to their attention, they just say oops, go grab a new one.. Please, save your time and your money and dont shop here.

This store is the worst store ever, they took down the health section and replaced it with junk food, now finding food that is good quality and healthy is super hard to find. I am vegan and that makes things even harder to find because everything is all lumped together, not to mention the price of everything is so ridiculous, and produce is noticeably very bad and too old to be on display. Whats even shittier is self checkout is the only thing available at night trying to manually enter each item is hard enough, but to make things even harder is dealing with that dumb machine that always needs the employee to fix something not to mention the employee gets pissy and acts like a cock when you need help, super freakin rude.

This store is so bad on so many levels that I now shop at Walmart 95% of the time. They have a poor selection, and prices are too high. For 2 weeks they have been resetting the store. If you are going to reset the entire store, you should shut it down & get it completed overnight. Trying to do it a little bit at a time is chaotic, annoying & once again will make me turn around & go elsewhere. This store is currently a mess with empty shelves & temporary racks with clearance food. Also, the reset should make sense & it does not. The bulk items in dispensers are now in front of the dairy case??? Thinking that I will buy more if I have to wander around is flawed thinking.

There are BIRDS living in this store. I noticed at least 3 different birds in here and informed management. They said they are aware of the situation. If you think about birds in your store - thats nasty. I am sure that they are raiding the produce section all the time and pooping everywhere. That was a month ago and so I decided it may be time to go back and see if its okay to shop there again. Nope, still has birds. I guess logically your produce is subject to birds in the natural environment but I just cant be okay with them in your store. I will be shopping somewhere else.

This was by far the worst experience I have ever had at a grocery store. Many of the produce bins werent stocked, and several produce items that actually were in stock were moldy. The directory took me to the wrong aisle for yeast. There were only two checkout lines open, each with quite a line. And on the way out the door, my cart stopped me in its tracks with a dead wheel. The employees, however, were very nice. My experience wasnt horrible because of the employees, but because the business itself wasnt operating with quality in mind.

i asked the clerk on may 4 to check two lotto tickets. he acted like they were losers and asked if i wanted to throw them away - i said no, give them back. all of a sudden, he said they were winners (only $6) and paid me. HE WAS GOING TO KEEP MY MONEY - IM SURE OF IT. I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. NOW I WONDER IF THEY WERE HIGHER WINNERS - ILL NEVER KNOW. Ordered a graduation cake and had a terrific experience. The gal let us taste test cakes so that we could order exactly what we wanted for interior and frosting. The cake was pretty and best yet - tasted fantastic! Thank goodness because our other cake ordered from nearby specialty bakery (Dream Pastries) failed us horribly. I will only be using this bakery going forward . . . great prices and great taste!

Great grocery store. We love the club card specials. Store is greatly improved over the last couple of years. Quick check out and friendly employees. Perfect size store. I do not like the behemoth grocery stores going up. They take too long to shop and have a corporate feel. I like the local home town flavor at Safeway.

The people here are really friendly. They will go and get the item for you if you cant find it. The bathrooms are clean and stocked. The deli has a good variety and the prices are ok. They are community friendly. There is a good variety of shelf items, including dairy free, gluten free, organic, and specialties.

The employees talk negatively about their co-workers and their boss. Several of the employees smoke during their break. This smoke lingers by the entrance doors. Its much more convenient for me to shop at Safeway-but from now on Ill be shopping at King Soopers.

Only posting on the Starbucks. Friendly young staff that need a bit of leadership. Very slow and cant prioritize customers first in and first out. Its less than a mile from my home but, I rather drive 8 minutes further for better and faster service.
