A product we purchased in your store ruined our dinner last night. Last night, we set about making clam chowder from scratch, a meal my husband has made for years and years. A recipe that has been perfected. He used high quality, leeks, potatoes, whipping cream, and other fresh ingredients, purchased at high cost at Whole Foods. The clams from Northern Fisheries were purchased at Sprouts in Denver, Colorado. This is the second such incident. We opened the package and smelled the clams, which smelled "okay" not that fishy, but interestingly, the cats who love seafood were not that interested in it. He started cooking at 7:30 upon his return from a neighborhood association board meeting. We were hungry and eager to enjoy our soup. When he finished it he tasted it and it was the most rancid, fishy, spoiled tasting result. We scrapped it and had a ham sandwich at 9pm. Last time, the clams were spoiled and fishy smelling upon opening the package. This product is not cheap. We wasted time and quite a bit of money on the shopping and purchase of the other ingredients. Were not sure who is to blame, Northern Fisheries, or Sprouts in its handling of the clam product, but we will never buy it again. It is also the last time we shop in this Sprouts. Care to respond?

I went here while visiting friends who live nearby, and just have to say I was VERY impressed, especially with the customer service! GREAT bulk selection (they have yeast flakes!). Also, they were out of the flavor of potato chips I wanted, so the grocery worker I talked to, Jordan, told me he could "hook me up" with some chips... I assumed he meant he was going to show me where the chips were. But instead he gave us a different bag of chips for free instead! As someone whos worked in grocery on and off for 5 years, I just have to say their customer service is excellent, and for me, any seemingly "high" price is understandable. The grocery business has almost the lowest profit margins of any major business and its very difficult to always get people what they want for bottom-of-the-barrel prices. Thanks again and I hope to come back soon!

Its tempting to compare Sunflower to Whole Foods -- I lived within walking distance of the Belmar store, and shopped there often: great selection and atmosphere. I like just going there. Its like saying I prefer Macys to Wal-Mart. Well, yeah, but I mostly shop at Wal-Mart. Whole Foods is more luxury -- dont expect the same experience at Sunflower. Sunflowers "silly prices" are lower than most stores, especially on produce, and a much better selection of produce than the big chains.. On much produce, you can choose organic or conventional. I also like the bulk products, particularly nuts and coffee. Staff has been friendly and helpful. Ive never had a problem with checkout.

I want to love this store, since its so close, but since it became a Sprouts, theyve discontinued a number of items I like, and they are consistently out of stock in others. However, their produce is mostly good* and reasonably priced, and their employees are very helpful. Ive heard two employees mention that its the busiest Sprouts in the country, and that they have troubles with turnover. That may explain stocking problems. *Not so good produce: if you buy strawberries, youd better eat them that day, or they will be moldy the next. Conversely, if you want a ripe banana, plan ahead by several days, as they generally are lime green at the store.

We just moved to our new house in Lakewood and were happy to find that there was this Sunflower Market nearby, as its our go-to grocery store. Everything about the experience was great, except for the staff at the Deli counter. There were about 5 people working behind the counter, all of whom looked at us standing there waiting for assistance, but no one came up to help or even to say "be with you in a minute." We finally gave up after 5 minutes and went to check out with what was in our cart. We felt pretty ignored and disrespected, so I guess well have to get our sliced meats from the Safeway across the street, although Id rather get it here.

Something is fishy about this sprouts that I believe HR is screwing it all up... incompetent workers... it toke 15 minutes to get sliced deli meat. The cashier guy with a ponytall... avoid his check out line. He must be so high.. Ive checked out with him a bunch of times and he always every time triple or quadruple charge me for stuff I only get once and have to get refunded by a manager with blue hair. This has happened a bunch of times... save yourself the trouble there is a safeway, king soopers, and natural groceries really close. What kind of drugs are being smoked out back on employee breaks?

They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. The deli and meat counter employees act as though helping you out is an annoyance. The deli counter is worse, I actually asked an employee for help and was passed on to two different people because they simply couldnt stop working on whatever task they were doing. The cashier line takes forever, but its no fault of the employees. They simply just dont have enough checkout stands. This store just has very poor management. Do yourself a favor and drive an extra two blocks and go to King Soooers.

I wish they would have a better system for numbers on the nuts and stuff. It wouldnt be hard to have little stickers for customers to label bags. Such a big deal if you cant remember the numbers, the cashiers never know the numbers and are so rude about it too. They send us back to search for the number while the lines are already backed up. And the lines are ALWAYS BACKED UP. Also, I have found produce in very poor conditions. Usually it is awesome, I shop here at least bi-weekly but sometimes those leaves do not look so hot. :-O

The last 5 times Ive been to this sprouts they have been out of their own branded peanut butter. This may not sound like much but the next peanut butter is three or four more dollars. So Ive got to go to another grocery store to get peanut butter. You would think this is a very easy fix and they would just order more peanut butter next time they run out , but when I told someone nobody wanted to hear about it or gave a crap . Extremely annoying!

Everyone loves sprouts. Unfortunately there are too many people who love this particular sprouts. Its never slow be prepared for lines that stretch halfway through the store. Seriously I like shopping at sprouts but this location never seems to slow down and is constantly over crowded and running out of stock. Also good luck finding parking. Hopefully the new Sprouts getting built in Wheatridge helps cut down on the crowding.

Best time is Friday evenings. The sandwiches, fish guys, plethora of folks ready to help you find something--all that, I love. They have a range of items not available (ground veggie sausage, veggie chili seasoning, buttermilk, particular herbs, great value on fresh cut flowers) at the nearby major grocery chains. Dealing with the parking lot is my biggest annoyance, and usually, itd be helpful to have more lines open.

This is a great store, but it is not substantially cheaper than Whole Foods or Wild Oats (on some products, yes, but on others no). My only major concern with it is that I am not sure what exactly they will or will not carry. I know that other stores dont carry hydrogenated oils and have quality standards for what they will put on their shelves. I wish Sunflower would do the same, until them - Im skeptical.
