Deplorable customer service!!!!! Just came from this location and was thoroughly disgusted with their customer service. Theres, the cashier was very rude when we were trying to pay for groceries for my friends mother, which I apparently have to note share the same last name, who is currently in the hospital. Instead of kindly informing us that we were not able to use her mothers membership we were informed that "she cant just send ANY PERSON she wants" after being informed that this person was her daughter. The manager she literally shouted for was just as rude as the cashier. Heather didnt even apologize for the rude behavior but instead commended her saying that she was doing a great job in checking the membership cards. Apperantly that was her only quality they cared about. We contacted the card holder and started making our way to the membership desk not 5 feet from the register we were at with a cart of four (4) items to which Heather had a fit because the items were not paid for. Now I understand that they may have had problems at that location but condescendingly telling a person that they cant take their items to an easy line of sight location after being to to go to this location is not how you treat a customer. Being employed by customer based companies as I have the proper responce is "Im sorry that we are experiencing this problem but let me escort you to our membership desk." Instead she stormed behind the desk to find another woman to mean mug us as we talked with this wonderful gentleman by the name of Leslie whom promptly tried to cheer us up. My advice is unless you want to go to a grocery store that treats its customers like worthless peice of trash and thiefs do not shop at this location.

Its really too bad that I cant give 0 stars. Most of two years, my wife became a member, and I have a joint card with her. Not long after we started with this Costco, she was shopping with her mother. They stopped my wife at the door and made her empty her backpack (which she uses as a purse when shopping), while they didnt search the large purse-type bag my mother-in-law uses, or the large purses of any other customer around her. Also, they didnt search baby carriages, etc. which are certainly also used for theft. Today, I decided, what the heck! Ill renew my card. I picked up a replacement card, shopped for a few things, and went through a trainees line. I find out -- after waiting in line for an extended period of time -- that they dont take debit card if used without a pin, and they only take Amex. No apologies, etc. So I head on out, but they dont bother giving me back my card. They dont try to catch up with me, and I end up going back, where I have to wait in line -- again! -- for a manager to open the drawer. Again, no apology. So I tell the member desk on the way out that service is terrible, and they can keep the card. Again, no questions or concern. So I call them, when I get home, and the person did act a LITTLE concerned, but no question regarding who I am, when it happened, or anything else. Obviously, they dont care about customer loyalty, and they reinforced dramatically my perception of them as offering poor customer service. If all you are looking for is a 200 lb. bag of potatoes, go for it, but Ill go to other stores where they care about the customer.

I am writing about an incident that occurred on Sun. Oct. 19th at the Costco store in Aurora around 11:30am. To be Frank I have never been so insulted in my life by a "supervising" member of your staff. My mother is currently unable to leave the house for medical reasons, so as I have on many instances before, I went to Costco to do some grocery shopping. I was greeted as normal by an employee, who took my mothers card, looked it over and allowed me to shop. After shopping for an hour or so I went to check out. My cashier Nicholas immediately called a supervisor over as I had my mothers card. The same card my greeter had no issue with. His supervisor was mind-numbingly rude, snatched the card from my hand and said he would check to see if I was on the account, without so much as getting my name, or taking my ID. After walking into the back for maybe 30 seconds, he came out, told me I wasnt on the account and that I needed to leave. When I asked how he could have possibly checked without knowing who I was, he retracted, and said I could make the purchase so long as I paid cash. I explained that that wasnt an option, and the "supervisor" retorted with "Well maybe you should shop at Sams, they welcome your kind there." Now, I could forgive Costcos arbitrary enforcement of their membership rules, and probably even excuse a rude supervisor, but I cannot forgive a comment like that. I will be publishing this on every review site I can, and cancelling our Costco membership if your corporate office makes no effort to correct this situation. Absolutely disgusted.

Ive shopped at this store since back when it was Price Club, we are talking 12 + years now, probably closer to 16 years. Reading these reviews, the negative ones in particular, leave me scratching my head over the various complaints. In all these years and all these weeks (I probably shop there 6+ times a month) I have experienced only excellent and efficient service. I find it difficult to believe that these stories of rudeness on the part of the store management are in fact truthful and not simply made up by borderline personalities who will always find something to complain about. That the same deals are not there week to week, well Hello, you are shopping at Costco, thats the nature of the enterprise. Complaints that, the neighborhood is bad seem silly but I suppose if you live your life in a suburban gated community, our people might seem different. When my daughter was younger, our Costco game was to count and maybe identify the many languages we would hear spoken while shopping. We do live in a diverse community of many recent immigrants most of whom take great pleasure in the shear affluence and affordability of the store. Come any holiday, the sense of celebratory shopping is contagious; everyone seems to be readying a party for 50 and everyone is thrilled with the prospect. Perhaps there are bigger, newer, fancier Costco stores that cater to a wealthier clientele, but this Costco is just fine with me. Dont believe the whiners.

I havent enjoyed my experience at this store. When I first went in to sign up for a Costco membership, I received a sales pitch for the Executive Membership, which I didnt want or need. I politely informed the employee that I was not particularly interested in the Executive Membership as I do not buy in bulk extremely often and did not feel it would benefit me. After declining the Executive Membership, I received an identical sales pitch from another employee, who all but refused to accept that I was not interested. She was extremely pushy and refusing a high pressure sales pitch numerous times was not a great first impression. Since my first visit and disappointing sign up experience, Ive been back twice, and I will not be visiting this location again. On my second visit, every single employee I interacted with was rude for no particular reason. As I went to grab a sample product, I was scolded by an employee with abruptly decided to remove the sample tray at the same instant I was reaching toward it. Today, on third and final visit to this location, an individual was apparently stuck be a vehicle in the overcrowded and poorly designed parking lot. Inside the store, the lines are outrageous and its impossible to maneuver through the aisles even without a cart. I want to shop at Costco, partly because their corporate ethics seem to trump their only competitor, but theyre not making it very easy - at least at this location.
