HUGE selection of womens work shoes! (And hell order anything else you can find that you want.) Ladies, this is the place to go if you need steel toes - he even carries "dressy" steel toed loafers and pumps for those who need them but work partly in offices or nicer settings. Despite the address saying CO, this is really in CA... not too far from Terminal Island and open earlier in the day for those of us who have to run off the ship real fast and grab a new pair of boots (I did). The owner was fantastically nice, and very realistic about the pros and cons of each shoe. I told him what I thought I was looking for and he made a couple of recommendations; one of them fit perfectly and when I took them back to the ship, I wore them for the rest of my work tour and never got a single blister. He really cares about providing people with good, solid shoes to work in and his prices are very reasonable. Red Wings are not the only brand he carries; everything from Hytest to Doc Martins to all the usual big names. Definitely worth checking out if you are anywhere in the LA area.

The first time I went there, I had a voucher for work boots which was not signed by my employer, so I was told I could not be accommodated and I was turned away by the sole employee there, who assured me he could not take verification over the phone. I was later assured by my employer that he could have taken verification over the phone and that their store in Huntington Park did just that, so I believe that, because I arrived 30 minutes before closing, the one employee there did not want to be bothered accommodating a voucher. When I returned with a signed voucher, the price of the boots I selected was reduced to accommodate the amount covered by the voucher, so, okay.
