My complaint is for the East Walnut Rite Aid. Went in last Friday and they did not have my prescription filled. No problem. Informed me that they would text me back by 3pm for me to pick up. Did not happen. No problem. Went to pick up Monday morning and they had sign on door saying closed due to water problem and drive thru was accessable. I got in line. Several vehicles ahead of me. Line was not moving. One guy got out of his car I guess to stretch. After sometime I had to leave. No problem. I came back hours later and it was still closed and still had a line. I got in line again and again the line was not moving. It was 100 degrees outside and I had my elderly mother with me and could not stay in line any more. No pronblem. I called the right aid to ask if they could transfer my prescription to another Rite Aid that was open so I could get my medication for my surgery in the morning. The gal from pharmacy said she could not do that and that I would have to get in line at the drive through. I explained that I did that twice and could not do it again because the line was not moving and it was 100 degrees outside. Long story short. She hung up on me. I have to say I was not surprised by the tone of her attitude. She obviously does not understand customer service. From the first day I walked in on Friday ( I recenlty moved to that area) I did not feel the warmth or friendly customer servicer like the store on West Walnut. Now that is a great store with friendly people. The people are a reflection of management and I just have to say that I will not be returning to the store and recommend others to go elsewhere as this seems to be a pharmacy that has no culture or understanding of customer service and if they dont like to have tough discussions when it comes to serious needs of meds they hang up on you? By the way. I am scheduled for surgery in the morning and I will not have my meds as prescribed by the doctor? I dont know who performs the interview process for these positions, but I am very disapointed and feel really nervous without my meds for my surgery in the morning. Just my story and at the least this is what happens when you hire and allow staff to be rude and not qualified to handle situations. Its sad. I will now drive across town because I have no trust in the Rite Aid East Visalia Store Pharmacy. Unhappy customer

The hometown pharmacy Ive been using closed and I had to pick a pharmacy. I chose this rite Aid because its in a convenient location. I was texted that the first prescription was ready. I went to pick it up only to be told it was ready but could not be picked up because the pharmacist was eating lunch. The tech and I had an interesting discussion regarding the definition of ready. Now I am on hold and have been for 17 minutes and counting with one interruption by a tech who picked up and said.."ok Jeremy?" When I said no I was put back on hold.

Had a prescription sent over the night before and called at 3pm asking if it was really yet and they told me to wait a couple of hours till I can come pick it up. It is now 8pm and I came to pick up my medication and they still havent worked on it... Very unreliable in my opinion since I now have to wait even more till it is finally ready.

Last time I went I had a really rude guy check me out and then today Ive called the pharmacy 6 times and no answer I had to call a 7th time and talk to someone from the non pharmacy area so they could walk back to see whats the problem because I wasnt the first customer to call and complain!
