The store is trashy and the people that work here are totally incompetent. I called ahead with an item number off the website. Waited for 15 minutes for someone to pick up. It took the employee forever to look it up, and it was hard to hear over all the other employees screaming and screwing around in the background... clearly they were all so busy none of them could answer the phone. She confirmed the name, brand, and price of the item, then said they had plenty on the shelves and she would place 2 on hold for me. I got there and the item that was on hold was completely different, almost twice the price. After another employee took another 20 minutes to look the item up again (10 of these minutes were spent just trying to copy/paste the item number off the website into the inventory system), I was told that items with a 7 digit item number are an online-only item and are not carried in stores so there was no way they could have it. Then why have me stand there for 20 minutes while he looked? Couldnt they have said that in the first place? I then went to find another item, and asked 3 different employees roaming around the store, and got pointed to 3 different locations. No one could take 10 seconds to actually show me where anything was. Save yourself the trouble and order online ahead of time or go to a nicer store. Nobody here knows what they are doing and the store is nasty.

I asked for a person to help me with a registry, it takes 10 minutes to find the name and registry list, takes another 10 minutes, because the person was playing with her cellphone along with searching for a name on the registry list that she gave me, all the aisles was wrong. I found what I need on aisle 14 that is on aisle 8 in the list the cashier was trying hard to sell batteries to me for the thing that I bought, which is not working with battery!! the entire store is not clean and organized at all. the line was formed to check-out was pretty long and there was just one cashier in duty then after about 10 minutes another person came to help for check-outs and that was whom helped me

I did not have the receipts nor was I going to be lame and ask my friends for their receipts. A number of the items were not for a 3 year old, but were for an older child. The Manager was RUDE! They would not even exchange the items even though they were from the store. Ghetto store, with HORRIBLE SELECTION. RUDE PEOPLE. I was going to buy my son a $ 300-400 dollar drive around car. I GUESS THEY ARE DOING SO WELL THAT THEY DONT NEED MY MONEY. I tried to ask someone for help and they were all busy! THERE ARE A NUMBER OF OTHER PLACES TO BUY TOYS that have better service and return policies.

This store is actually a lot larger than it looks from the outside. It is a small location in the middle of the San Fernando Valley close to the corner of Sherman Way and Woodley ( a block away from the Fly-A-Way). The inside of the store is actually laid out pretty well with popular items up front of less popular things towards the back. The cashiers seem preoccupied with other things and do not engage when they ring you up (in my experience).

I purchased online. Walked up to the customer service counter where the associate has her head propped up with her arm on the counter and continued to stay that way when she pointed to me to the check in kiosk. I was then directed across the store where I had to wait for my items that were at the FIRST desk I stopped at. I will more than likely not come back for any of my Toyrus needs.

The stock isnt so great (I didnt find a bag of cheap little play doughs to give away to a class) but I like the small size of it and the way the aisles are good for strolling through. No one was available at a check out counter so someone very helpful checked me out in the video dept. She remembered I needed a gift receipt. My expectations were low so it wasnt awful.

Way better than the babys r us in the vicinity. I vowed not to ever visit them again after numerous awful experiences at babys r us, but I needed to make an emergency stop and this was the closest place. I gave this place a chance and I got to say, this place was customer service oriented. Outside and parking lot super dirty, hence the 4 star.

Everytime I go to Toys R Us, checking out at the register is a mood killer. if you know what i mean. it really takes a long long time. and we have experienced this on more than several occasions. why do we go back? location. And it is a big toy store. but there are others

What do you expect from Van Nuys. Cmon people, manage your expectations better and you wont be disappointed. This place is good if your not trying to use their restroom and find obscure toys. I go for general items that are easy to find and Im always accommodated.

Usually I don’t like going to these places during the holidays (too crowded), but this place is actually pretty chill. I was having difficulties finding what I need, but the staff were very helpful. The prices were also pretty good.

Horrible! ! I asked 3 associates for help none of them knew where the item in question was one of them even say it's a girls toy look on that section if I didn't have a problem find it I wouldn't b asking you.

love this spot! one of the original toys r us stores from back in the day. the manager is always nice and friendly. staff also very helpful. this is one of my favorite spots to shop at

Great inventory. Lots of Marvel, DC and Star Wars toys that are usually out of stock at other Toys R Us locations. A bit messy and understaffed but the inventory makes up for it.

I really like this place !!! YOU can find the perfect gift for you child 95% of the times. Last time í locking for some cake candles and only find one the sign ❓ and no more.....

They have a big toy selection, but it does have to be a little cleaner outside and make it a little bit new. They also need to manage the little electronics area better

756 am no available nitendo classic its only a promo they said 8 am they will open to sell it but they open early and sold out just to get a customer to there shop

The sign outside made me feel like I was in the 50s. Loved how old it looked. Seriously thought it was the oldest toys r us in the world. Friendly staff !

The variety or toys available are good, Im sure. What didnt really do it for me was the way the store seemed a bit run-down and not very well cared for.

The staff is friendly and super helpful compared to the Burbank location we always go to. Will definitely make trips out to this one more often!
