Place Sucks. I took my kids there who had been ANXIOUS to collect comics. When ever my daughter would ask any question in regerds to comics or any Superhero the guy behind the counter (the owner) was not friendly, not engaging, and very short. Needless to say by the end of my daughters purchasing experience. She did not wanna go back there. Said she preferred the comic book store in Concord/Pleasant Hill, which we had previously gone to then Water Front Comics. She liked the store and better. Said the employees were much pleasant and didnt mind answering her questions. Aside from that i came a time before and when i pulled up the door was open. I get out my car and walk over and the door is closed and locked. Its 2:00 on the afternoon. Sign says OPEN. THE hours on sign says on Fridays 11-7pm. Im pissed now cause Mind you i drove here from Vallejo. No closed sign, no note on door saying they went to lunch. Ask me they do bad business, unprofessional business behaviour. To close any time without warning or notification just cause you are the owner is not right wjen someone was coming to patron your store. Only reason store is still open os cause theres no other alternative within reasonable miles or close proximity. Ifbi had 3 hands i give it 3 thumbs down

Worst place to buy comic books. The owner is very lazy at maintaining his store. I went in to look for copies of comic books, and I ask him several times to locate certain comics I wanted. He sits on his butt directing on location instead of getting up to look for the book. He doesnt take care of his product very well, and doesnt show enthusiasm to sell the products. I remember my first time coming in to ask what is good recommendation to read for comics. The owner would reply everything is good to read. I recommend to shop for comic books in other locations besides this place.

Ive been going to this shop for years. John and his family are awesome, welcoming people; super knowledgeable and helpful. Ive found some great books, met fun people, and had great experiences. A complaint I keep seeing here is that they arent helpful when asking "whats good?" Have you ever asked that at a restaurant? They tell you the same thing, "everything". Tell John what you like and hell find you a comic, even special order the back issue for you. If you love comics, this is a great place to go.

Went in to just look around, staff didnt even acknowledge me or my friends I was with. I was looking for Sgt Rock comics which turns out they dont have. I asked the staff member casually if he had any Sgt Rock and he answered no rather quickly so was not sure if he heard me so I asked again to clarify and he said "no, thats why I said no the first time" needless to say with the lack of customer service and basic politeness my friends and I left and will likely not go back.

Owner is super lazy. On multiple occasions Ive visited and even called this store, and the guy has a habitual problem in opening the shop on time. Ive waited close to 45 minutes more than once for this guy to open on the posted business hours, only to leave in disappointment. This place is a joke and Ive been a happy and loyal customer at Boys of Summer in Vacaville ever since!

Friendly, helpful staff with working knowledge of every series I asked about (a lot, older and newer) and what is available. Good prices and selection for used older comics, too. They will also order you anything available and hold issues of your favorite new comics for you as they come in.

Its an awesome comic shop with tons of back issues. Type of place where you could spend all day digging through long boxes. Huge selection of trades and graphic novels. All the new stuff. John is very knowledgable. Its a great shop in a great location. I recommend stopping by.

A fun shop in a cool part of town. Great selection of gold/silver age titles -- long boxes for DAYS! Great place to fill your pull-list, with fair prices and a staff that welcomes readers of all ages. They support indie creators, and YES they have Cathair Apocalypse!

Although ive been pleased 75% of the time with this stores selection, the owner of the shop is pretty lazy. All the other negative reviews are true. How you can fail to open your own store at the time you yourself said you would is beyond me

I actually like that they arent in a strip mall, downtown Suisun is a nice place for a shop like theirs. They are helpful without pestering and made my 6 year old daughter feel welcome.
