Its sheer insanity. I was asked for my ID as a condition of selling me merchandise. My wife and I left. To accomodate that demand would have amounted to acquiescing in sheer nonsense. First of all, Im 70 years old. And I look 70 years old. No one could possibly mistake me for being a minor. What rendered this utterly bizarre is that what I was seeking to purchase was simply GINGER ALE. They appartently have a blind, mindless policy of requiring a show of identification on all purchases. I have ceased patronizing BevMo and will make my purchases at Vendrome or Total Wine. This company needs to reexamine its asinine policy

I still go to this place, I really do but now Im a little more critical of the beers that I buy there and when they were bottled. Several occasions I purchased some IPAs that were, lets say, not fresh at all and had actually been sitting passed their best by date for some time. Call me a snob but I do not enjoy all my IPAs tasting musty and overly malty. I will be back but its with a magnifying glass lol. Cheers!

For the uninitiated, BevMo! is the most amazing place ever, serving as a one stop shop for all things wine, beer, liquor, drinking snacks, and bar equipment. They also have regular tastings. This location is well organized with knowledgeable staff. Make sure you sign up for the BevMo club card, and grab some savings on $.05 wines.

BevMo usually has good discounts on their bottles of wine and the staff is usually friendly and educated when answering questions about wines or beers. They have a huge selection of beer, wine and liquor so it is likely they have whatever you are looking for.

All the west LA and Santa Monica BevMos seem to be well run, and this is no exception. Parking here is perhaps a bit less than ideal given how busy the streets are in this area.
