I often frequent this coffee shop while as I am writing my graduates thesis on Roman Classics, primarily about Virgils Aeneid and the vast cultural implications for our world today.... You might be thinking that I am a pretty Indy and hip guy, and you are right but the coffee here is hit or miss. I just ordered the Double Ristretto Venti Nonfat Organic Chocolate Brownie Frappuccino Extra Hot with Foam and Whipped Cream Upside Down Double Blended and he looked at me like I was somehow pretentious. The employee yesterday... (Slater) made it in 3minutes, no questions asked.

Grateful Existance

Stacy refused to sell me a refill without a receipt. Breaking Starbucks policy. She also lied claiming she had worked there for 10 years. I have worked at Starbucks in three stores, in two states, and I know that she would have completed her coffee tasting and acquired a black apron far before 10 years. I simply went back to Pacific and bought my refill. Wasting time and crowding an already crowded store and street.

Raine Villa

One of the more "meh" Starbucks Ive been to. Staff wont go out of their way really and are just there to take your order. The product is just as good as anywhere else. Tables outside are a tad dirty. Might as well enjoy your frappe at Panda Express. Location is pretty convenient, though, as its the closest Starbucks to the local university and right off Mission Street.

Lets give stars to a Starbucks in a Safeway! Im surprised they havent stabbed anyone given the nature of their job, furthermore, some of them are even friendly. So here are my stars for the two of them that still find the whatever it is in them to smile at me every now and then. The rest is your normal doping conveyor.

nice place to meet girls. also to have a seat with your party bro and read the wsj headline out loud. my coffee bro gets his across the street though. sidewalks in between.

Got a small cup of coffee here and it was good. Not as spectacular as the other places in Santa Cruz but its definitely a place to hit up when youre on the go.

The area is a bit crowded, the coffee has all expected in any Starbucks. The only thing would be the noise.

The guys who worked here on March 1st, 2011 in the Starbucks are careless dolts. Do not recommend.
