Avoid this place! The salesclerk (the girl usually working by the counter) is really bad to customers, and whats worse, in an extremely subtle and sophisticated one. Its the kind of salesclerk who makes sure to treat customers bad, but does it in ways too subtle or intangible as to risk being held liable for. First time there, she was extremely unhelpful and unpolite in this refined and subtle way (pretending not to understand which jewelry I was asking for, etc). I didnt care much as I thought she just had a bad day. Ive been working as a salesclerk myself, so I know that some days youre simply in a bad mood. But then, I went there a second time when I, again, wanted to buy a jewelry. This time I specifically went there with a positive attitude, since sometimes you can even "win" unfriendly people over if you just treat them in a nice way. But she behaved just as bad, in the same subtle, slippery way (for instance, speaking barely inaudible and then making it all seem like I was obtuse for not hearing, just one of those things). She gave me the jewelry I was interested in, mumbled something that sounded like I could have it for free (?), so when I asked if thats what she said, she sighed, rolled her eyes, tapped a price on her calculator, slammed it to the desk, turned it to me, gave me an extremely tired face (again, as if I was a trying customer (!)), and asked "does this make it easier for you?", thereby confirming that I heard right. (!) Well, thanks for the free jewelry, but with this attitude, I wouldnt recommend anyone supporting this business. I surely wont shop there anymore.

Although the clerk at the front of the tattoo area seemed incredibly arrogant (I dont exactly look like the kind of person who normally walks into tattoo parlors..), my piercer, Tom, was amazing. He was clean, efficient, patient, and fast! Best of all, I didnt feel a thing when he pierced my nose. Ive heard great things about Paul and I had a great experience with Tom, so if youre looking into getting a piercing go to these guys. Also, the jewelry is great quality, which makes it a little more expensive than other places, but I dont mind paying a little more, especially since I had such a great experience.

When I was 19, I went to Staircase to get my tongue pierced. The man working there took a look inside my mouth and told me he couldnt do it, because my teeth were very soft and that Id bang the enamel off them within a few years and all my teeth would fall out. I never went to anyone else and I never had it done - my dentists have all agreed that a tongue piercing would have been catastrophic... I dont have any idea if that man still works there to this day, but Ill always be grateful of his integrity, and the fact that he told me the truth instead of just taking my money.

I got my nose pierced here last night and i love it! Paul did it and i really recommend him, he did a great job. He explained things in full detail and made me feel totally comfortable. He also gave me some sea salt for the cleaning so I didnt have to go out and buy any. They are a little pricy but its worth it. Mine came out to 68 with a diamond stud.

Got a great tattoo here, then one that scared all up. Two different artists. Unhappy with my last one. Looks bad.
