Staples, San Rafael, is getting better. My Spanish is not so hot. Until the fall of 2011 there were times when it was difficult to find as English speaking sales assistant. Most recently, I took a broken computer in for repairs. I was lead to that the computer was being "sent to the factory". When it failed to return on the date indicated (about 10 days), I started checking and learned that the "repair part" had "just arrived". I had to come all the way from the East Bay. I could have picked it up at the beginning and had my computer back two weeks ago. Or, had I been advised that it would take so long, I could/would have rented one to use in the interim. Thanks to Best Buy, Staples is doing better. They have a ways to go in the "customer service" department. The individual I dealt with was excellent, (Justin . . .). I hope this hurts enough to help.

OK, were in a recession, so Im getting great service in lots of places. But this morning at Staples, my experience was particularly nice. There was some sort of staff meeting behind the copy services counter that stopped the moment I approached the counter - four people switched gears to help me with a printing /shrink-wrapping question. Later, at checkout, a different person helped me save a few extra bucks. And as I think about it - yesterday, when I phoned to see if they had the Epson NX515 in stock for the advertised $110, the guy on the phone confirmed that they did - AND mentioned that they also had the Epson NX415 on sale - for only $60. Nice work, Staples!

i walked out with a printer because i was having problems and hoped the printer would help me explain my problems and someone would help me and do something. so then i brought the printer back into the store. they had some cool toshiba notebook computers here that worked good. i am trying to get up to 200 google reviews. that is why i am writing this review. what kind of retirement do we have in america

Id give this place five stars if it werent a Big Box store. But this Big Box store has a hometown feel. I come here frequently and dont mind paying a bit more for good service, clean and uber organized aisles, and enough cashiers so I dont have to waste my time in lines. Gotta mention Flory, the nicest staff member Ive met.

David L, the front office customer service rep is the man for the job. Its a big store, its well stocked with your necessary office supplies. Maria and Harlan are excellent managers of this location. If you need help, the staff is very proactive upon assistance.
