I LOVE Petco. We started our Community Aquarium last year and they were very helpful in educating my family and me as to what fish were compatible, what we needed to do before even putting fish in, and what to expect with a new tank. We always get friendly service from any staff there at the time. Just recently, I had to return a fish (not purchased at Petco) that was not compatible and Petco staff were happy to help, they re-housed the little guy and helped me find some better tank mates :)

This is your average big box pet supply company. The service is friendly, but its a little smelly like they need to clean more often and better. Also, dont be fooled by the atmosphere that you may be getting the best prices. I shop around, both online and at brick & mortar stores, and I found the prices a little high. I only go there for convenience when I didnt order something online enough in advance. I would rather support local businesses, but only if their prices are competitive.

I like to buy my pet supplies and Pet Food locally at Petco. I also really appreciate that many of them help people and homeless and shelter animals get together. Petco is not a puppy mill or I wouldnt shop there! And of course its dog friendly so my dog can shop for herself!

I use their grooming salon. My rescue dog has long nails and needs them filed regularly, but doesnt like her feet touched. They have done a great job with her. Their prices have increased dramatically though.

Decent selection of fish but the store itself needs some work. Lots of cobwebs on displays and a general feeling of unclean bring this otherwise good store down
