A wonderful addition to the Excelsior community! This bookstore is easily accessible with several Muni lines (29, 49, 14) nearby. The prices are more than reasonable if one compares them to their original list prices. Children and teens have their own separate room. The store provides couches for reading with plenty of natural lighting, creating a perfect setting to pass an afternoon! One could grab coffee from several of the coffee shops along Mission Street and settle in with a book. In addition, the store is very family friendly and helps cater to the community by hosting many children (and adult) friendly events and activities. The store also contains a large selection of Christian titles.

This bookstore is a nice addition to the neighborhood. It has a wide variety of books that are used but are still in fantastic condition. I have bought a few myself and I can say i am more than satisfied. They also host many great weekly events that can be suitable for people with the interests for drawing, movies, reading clubs, crafting, and many other art or book related topics, each event suiting people of different age: kids, teens, and adults. I definitely recommend going here for a nice soothing experience of buying some of your favorite books or if youre looking for something new to spice up your reading.

This is a great addition to the neighborhood. The space is bright and wide, and there is a decent collection of used books for the space. I come here with my kids frequently, there are always good childrens books available at a good price. There are some sofas here, so it is very free to just relax. They seem to have a lot of events going on (think face painting, art classes, poetry readings, etc) so there is always something interesting here.

Having a book store as the neighborhood is a wonderful thing. Rich collection, you can not imagin that what you can find here. Old or New, West or East. Thats the place where I want to go, Thats the place where I want to stay. Each book is waiting its master. It just like a flower, you open it, you make it bloom;You read it, you make it fruit; You meditate it, it becomes yours forever.

they have a lot of books, I was looking for some Christian books for my 1 year old daughter, and it is very hard to find used Chrisitian kids books. but i got many from here with very good price. definitely recommended.
