What was supposed to be a nice shopping trip turned into a terrible experience with a very little man. Not only in stature but as well as integrity. We were in the shop to pick up some older spidey books and a group of guys came in trying to get some comics appraised. the owner told them their comics were garbage and he wouldnt even pay 5 cents for them. Weve been looking for comics to do some art projects so my wife told them to email us and wed pick up anything the store didnt want. From there the owners attitude changed. I am pretty sure he was trying to rip those guys off and our offer seemed to mess with his lowballing. Disgusted with the practice, we left the store and decided to vote with our wallet. My wife dropped her bracelet and had to go back in. 2 minutes later my wife is running from the store in tears, owner chasing after her with his fists raised like he was gong to hit a woman. Needless to say, we called the police and the owner got what he deserved. The little man told the police he thought she stole something despite the camera evidence. The cops told us there was no crime and that this wasnt the first time theyve dealt with him for similar reasons but since there was no actual crime, there was nothing they could do. So please shop at Ancient Comics if you want to deal with a crappy owner who is violent towards women or want to pay too much for magic cards. The comic selection was great and the true crime here is it belongs to a terrible person.

Ive gone in there a few times, and theres a pretty decent selection of comics, but I cant get over how the manager behaves. I have a friend whos black, and hes one of the nicest guys in the world & takes great care of everything he touches. Whenever I go in there, the manager doesnt say much of a thing to me, but every single time my friends gone in there, the owner has thrown a fit & said that he wants the friend to leave because he feels like the friend will steal something. Im 99% sure the guys doing this just because my friend is black, and it really upsets me whenever I see it. The selection of comics may be decent, but given the behavior of the proprietor of the store Id rather just take a bus & visit some other comic store than give my money to some guy who thinks its good business to discriminate against potential customers.

The name is true to what the store has. Upon entering store, I knew I would enjoy shopping there. Could not see the walls......comics, comics, comics. What a true comic store should be, not a gaming store. If you are looking for bronze, copper, silver or golden age, stop looking and go there. Owner was very knowledgeable and friendly, going above and beyond what is expected. Even had business cards, imagine that! This is my store.

Great older comic selection. But unfortunately the owner killed the vibe. He was not friendly at all and seemed to talk down to us like we had no knowledge. I had never been there before and he seemed irritated to answer question about his comics for sale. Being a little friendly or helpful isnt to much to expext. Made me not want to have to deal with him again. Happy comic hunting yall.

What an awesome comic shop. They have tons of back issues, some sorted, some unsorted. There is a lot to find. The prices are way below what most guides say, while the unsorted mix is priced at only .25 cents. The staff was awesome and very knowledgable. I drove over 70 miles to check this place out, and it was well worth it. I will gladly go back any day.

Great prices, great comics! Prices are well below Price Guide, he has a ton of rad old comics, and he has a TON of comics in his $.25 bins that are in great shape and really cool titles! Highly recommended!

Welcoming atmosphere and dynamite selection of bronze and silver age comics, perfect for the connoisseur. As retailers go, the owner is top-notch. Jeff is very friendly and makes you feel right at home!

This shop only sells back issues and graphic novels. Nothing getting published today. That said, this is definitely the place to check for those rare to find books.

As long s your dealing in comics its a great place to go. If dealing in MTG ( Magic the gathering) you will get ripped off.
