Obviously I came here to get my son a toy and nothing was where it should be! (at least in the several aisles we went to) I had the most difficult time trying to figure out how much things cost because toys were in the wrong place. I understand that kids are probably moving things around a lot; I personally feel that the associates should make more of an effort to make sure the aisles are clean and organized throughout the day. Toys R Us should invest in those price check scanners for customer use. A frustrating experience, Ill get my son his toys from some place else.

I used to shop at this location for decades and never had any problems. I left San Diego for school and moved back about 2 years ago. Since then, this TRU store has gone down the toilet. They almost never have anything in stock. Dont bother trying to find anything new or popular as they either dont carry it or stock such a small amount that they sell out by the afternoon. Oh, and dont bother asking any of the employees for help in finding anything. Ask them to order more, they wont. Ask them when they might get an item re-stocked, they dont know.

I have to frequent this place way more often than Id like. Now, I am never going to LOVE this place, but it can be fun to take my kids, just because they get so excited. There are a few problems with this location: The layout is bizarre. There doesnt really seem to be any cohesive set up to the store, it always seems kind of rundown, and good luck finding someone to help you. Because there isnt anyone. Usually there is a girl at the register, and thats it. On a good day there are two cashiers. And the line is always, always long!

I stopped by to pick up a kitchen play set for my daughter and a small car for my son right after work. I happened to have a 20% off coupon that was only good after 8 pm. You figure that they would make an acception. But to my surprise they told me sorry and to come back at 8 pm. I then requested to have them hold the toys till I returned. I was told they could not hold any toys for my return. Sorry, but just getting off work and they saying no to both requests left a sour taste in my mouth. Good luck.

The dumb*ss cashier didnt know what she was doing. I had to pay in cash because she didnt know how to use the Toys r Us gift card I handed her! "I dont know, its asking how much money I want to put in the card....." were her words. I checked the card balance by phone when I got home, there was $$ in there. Now Im out $$ cash and STILL have this damn card I need to spend at Toys r Us! Definitely going to a different toys r us.

Watch the pricing!! On my last visit, TWO items were mispriced for significantly more than the listed price. The store had signs all over advertising a $10 gift card given to customers spending more than $75. I spent $150 and wasnt given the card because I hadnt produced a coupon. Read the small print! By the way,I complained to the manager and got the card after the entire order was re-rung. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE.

Something about Toys"R"Us sys my teeth on edge. I cant quite place why, though. Selection is usually quite good, and quantities decent . Checking out is usually slow. Many lanes, but few are open. Ive noticed on more than one occasion that store prices dont match online prices. You will have to show them their own website to get the price-matching discount.

Customer service was satisfactory, but the dark and dingy feel to the place made it seem run down. Great selection, so the place may just need a remodel to breathe some life into this hallmark of so many of our childhoods.

Wanted to purchase Ninja Turtle Walkie Talkies for childs birthday. They actually held the set for me for 48 hours. What they do need at the store is an Infant Toddler Specialist (me) to assist parents in many areas.

This place could be considered controlled chaos. This place is full of toys and the staff are so helpful and knowledgable of what products they carry and where they are located. I had a great experience here

Been visiting here for some exclusive toys recently and they had their act together. They passed out tickets, the line moved quickly, and our coupons worked without a hitch.

This place always seems run down and messy to me and the cashiers lanes are always a bit long. The staff is usually pretty friendly and willing to help you find something.

Just your average Toys "R" Us. Looks really old and kind of abandoned but you dont have to be new to sell toys so. . . Its clean and the employees were helpful and nice.

Its an older Toys R Us, but is kept well. Generally not busy which means short checkout lines. There is a lot of offstreet parking. Overall a good place to buy toys.

This store seemed a lot more organized than the La Mesa store when I visited. It was surprisingly empty for being a week before Christmas, but Im not complaining.

Lot of the items sold in store had no price tag for customers to see. You have to ask or run through the store to locate a scanner that works.
