Know that the purchase receipt for East Sac Bikes says "ALL SALES ARE FINAL," and it may well cost $100 to return a bike even if you just bought it a few hours before and never used it. My wife got their sales pitch, and, on the phone, I couldnt talk her out of buying 3 bikes there after the salesman told her she could just return the 2 bikes we got for our kids at ToysRUs, which does returns--no questions asked. It cost us over $100 to return just one of the bikes the next day. All our complaints were met with "see the receipt," making it too difficult to recover any part of this loss. Heres her story: ---Complaint Description to BBB--- On August 5, 2011, around 4 pm, I purchased two bicycles for my daughters, which I took with me, and I ordered a bicycle for myself, an Electra coaster 3 LDS, which was not in stock and had to be ordered from Southern California. Jesse, the salesman, told me the bike would be ready for pick up on August 11. I never signed an order form, nor was I given anything other than a cash register receipt. When I read this later, I noticed it said all sales were final. However, this was not explained to me beforehand. . . . This purchase was from East Sacramento Bicycles, where I had ordered several bicycles in the past. The salesman, Jesse, convinced me to purchase these bikes and return the roughly equivalent bikes Id already purchased from Target and Toys R Us. The next morning, August 6, I decided the bicycle I ordered for myself put me beyond my budget, and I called East Sacramento Bicycles and cancelled the bicycle I ordered for myself. Jesse, the salesman said he could do this and would call me if there was a problem in cancelling this order. I never received such a call and assumed my Visa would be credited the entire price of the third bike including tax for $509.19. On receiving my Visa statement on August 23, I saw I had been charged for all three bikes, and I went to the store the next day. Jesse told me he never reverses Visa charges and instead simply sends a check with the amount owed. On August 25, I received a check for $401.79. With it was a handwritten letter stating that Electra was not able to stop shipment on my general order, so I would be charged a $40 freight charge, a $47.40 restock fee, and the $20 for the multi bike discount. I called the store on August 25 and was told by Mike that Jesse was the only one who could rectify this, and he was taking an extended leave and would not be in the store anytime soon. Hence, I was charged a total of $107.40 for a bike I never received. I find it difficult to believe they could not stop a shipment ordered at 4 pm on a Friday which I requested be stopped the next day when the store opened at 10 am. The restock fee makes no sense at all to me given the circumstances, and I ordered two bikes, so I believe I should still have received the multi-bike discount.

The moment I walked in looking for a new bike, the staff was super friendly and really awesome. I found the bike I wanted at a different site, but every time I go in to the H street location, its like Im walking into another home. The staff is incredibly friendly and each time theyre able to tell me every single thing about what I need done with my bike. Its impressive to say the least. Really great shop and really great people.
