RUDE SERVICE .... I am a school librarian. About a month ago I decided to buy two Nookbooks to try with students. Soon after, one student informed me that her Nook is sending sample and "lend" books, some of which are not appropriate for her to read. I called the main support telephone number and and asked if there is way to block these sort of viewing/sample books. I was told tha if I purchased a newer version Nook, it would allow me to set up different Nookbook accounts and I could then monitor the two Simple Touch Nook books. So, I visited the Natomas store. The customer service counter staff person was flat out RUDE. The young woman wouldnt allow me to talk. I couldnt even get to the part about wanting to buy another Nook. If Barnes and Noble continues to hire and keep rude staff .... why bother being a loyal customer? I have a generous personal book budget and a school budget... one can bet I am not the first nor the only customer this rude employee has encouraged to shop elsewhere.

I called Barners & Noble in Natomas to find out whether they had a book and the book sales person "Melanie" that answered the phone was rude and not very helpful, before I could finish my sentence she hung up on me, then I called back and a "Lisa" answered the phone and she told me that they did not carried a used copy of the second book I was searching for and then, when I asked about the most recent edition, she didnt let me finish speaking when she interrupted me by saying no we dont have it. I said to her that I wasnt looking for a used copy, but whether they had a new copy, she rudely said NO!. I often shop at this store, but with this type of customer service, I dont think I will do it any more.

The Cafe inside here is awful because the staff is so rude and act like they dont want to be bothered. I ordered two coffees and brought a sandwhich with me to eat on my lunch break. The lady with short black hair spoke to me in an attitude and told me I had to eat outside because I brought food from the outside. So rude and to top it off she took my order wrong. This cafe always seems to have people who are so rude and do not want to be there. I am never coming to this cafe ever again. I will be letting all my co-workers know to not come here for lunch.

the rare brick and mortar bookstore. when B&N first came around, i resented them for effectively killing off local bookstores. usually i am a fan of "you reap what you sow", but not in this case. the online industry has all but wiped out all brick and mortar stores in my area, and this is one of the few locations where i can walk in, peruse a book, decide if i want it after all, and maybe walk by something else that catches my eye and buy that as well. i am glad this B&N is here. i hope it stays for a long while to come.

As usual Barnes & Noble is a clean atmosphere kept well organized. It offers books, magazines, games and crafts along with other miscellaneous items. Best of all you can sit and read in a relaxed climate and the books are well maintained so that you purchase quality material. The sales personnel are friendly and you never feel rushed. I am constantly surprised with the variety of merchandise and the very friendly clients that frequent the business. Always a pleasure to shop at this bookstore.

If you dont like Dog Eared Books you are a dumb ass poppy pants.THERE. Now I feel better, it had to be said. Member your life has gotten too busy trying to achieve stuff. A trip to Dog Eared might rejuvenate your soul and put you back in touch with that inner being, that person who could while away the hours stroking remaindered art books. Peel yourself off the stress ceiling to browse and buy at Dog Eared.Then find time to read a book. Its a good thing. You can thank me now.

I have a Nook but there is nothing like holding an actual book and smelling the pages. Also, there is the very real pleasure in taking an actual book into my bath with me. I actually use the B&N in Arden Fair but this is the site on this Google thing. I hope B&N stays right where they are.

Auto renew membership fee that I did not know about, and asked them to cancel it but they are still billing. This is fraudulent and I despise companies that operate this way. Make a quick buck now, but lost customers for life as I and my family will never shop here again. Greedy d1ckheads

This Place Is Always Inviting. They Provide a coffee shop inside with food and drinks. Theres a wonderful kids place for toddlers. And- as a young writer- I need space to write, read, and think. They give couches to sit on and plenty of space. LOVE this Barnes & Noble
