I am a reloader and drop to update my supplies at least weekly. They have RCBS, a little Hornady and Lyman but they are a large scall Dillman dealer. In my opinion Dillon is about the be reloading equipment you can get. Since the current remodel has been completed thay have started hanging product on the walls that any good gun shop should have. I think their gun supply is ofter a little slim and I would like to see a wider variety of AR parts and pieces. Couple guys in there are quite knowledgable, the others, not so much. I have been shopping in there for a few years now, may 4 or so and it has changed alot, pretty much for the better. Its going to hang out at the barbershop, only it costs more. I easily give it 5 stars. I have been to every small shop in Sacramento, Loomis, Lincoln, Roseville, etc and the big guys and you know who I mean. As to my interests and needs I find what I need at DSS more regularly and usually for a much better price that the big boys. If you havent been there and you are serious about shooting and/or reloading you owe it to yourself to drop by and give them a visit. Dont even need to make a purchase, but it would be nice. By the way, I dont work for them but I should get a pound of powder for this nice review.

Everyday i expericnce some sort of racism but in the last 15 years of calling this country my home i never felt so discriminated. Especially after i told them i wanted to buy the hunting rifle.(that took about 40 min)They had like 6 guys working there and this was on a THURSDAY NIGHT NOT FRIDAY, Me and my Father waited patiently for 3 hours for such outstanding service, we stood around and couldnt wait until someone would at least make an eye contact, Im not even talking about being helped.People coming in picking up their firearms buying them and leaving. We learned about firearms more from bystanders rather than the staff, after a while I tried getting their attention, only on my 3rd attempt to retrieve my fathers driving licence back because we changed our mind about buying the rifle clearly everyone was too cool for us they didnt even bother to apologize for the huge waste of time. This place doesnt even deserve 1 star in my opinion and experience and I dont think Ill ever forget such outstanding customer service.

I purchased 3 .22 caliber rifles for my grandsons for Christmas. One of the rifles had quality issues that came from the manufacturer. Discount Shooters Supply (DSS) could have easily washed their hands of the issue and told me to deal directly with the manufacturer, which by the way was on the east coast. However, the DSS owner accepted responsibility for the issue, dealt with the manufacturer, and got the issue resolved at his time and expense. Nowadays, that is the kind of customer service that is sometimes very difficult to find. I dealt with Jeff, the Owner, and Anthony, the Salesman. Both individuals are very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. Oh, and did I mention that Jeff sold me the 3 rifles for less than any other gun shop in the area would? I now have found a gun shop that I will go to for all of my firearm, ammunition, and accessory needs. Thank you DSS for being who and what you are.

The only bad thing about this store is the location. Its a clean, well lit, welcoming store with positive and helpful employees. If someone hadnt told me about them, I probably wouldnt have ever found them. I was in a bit of a hurry so I didnt get the chance to really browse the store, and I forgot to get the name of the guy that helped me. Their prices are a bit better than Bass Pro Shop, but not as low as Sportsmans Warehouse. I didnt mind paying a bit more for the better service, and the fact that they actually had small pistol primers in stock - which neither big box store did. Theyre now my go-to for reloading supplies even though theyre 15 minutes further away.

Some time ago I had stopped by this shop to purchase some ammo for my rifle, a friend of mine had given them a good recommend. I went in to purchase my ammo and found they did lay away- which I thought was great since I didnt have much money to work with. My lay away took longer than anticipated and the owner had informed me that he would keep me appraised of any price changes when I started my lay away. When I finally had gathered the remaining cash for my lay away the price had changed. So what did the owner do to help me? Nothing- no call to let me know the price had changed so I left empty handed and disappointed. That is just bad customer service.

The worst gun shop ever they charge some stupid $ 10 per gun trnsfer fee on the same dros application and then 10 more bucks for some insurance and stoage fee and then make you bye a lock from them or bring in a lock with reciept even if own your own lock what a rip off i guess its the goodwill of gun shops never doing business with them again and yess i still have a lot of guns to transfer. Other shops only charge one 10 dollar fee no matter how many are being transferred on 1 dros application and no greedy other fees. So i will not recommend this goodwi to anyone for future business. Wish there was a zero star because thats what youd get..

I bought some ammo from these guys at a gun show in Las Vegas. They told me the connection timed out while running my card, so they ran it again. They ended up billing me twice. I called the store and told them what happened and they asked that I fax the statement, which I did. They said the owner was out but would call me back. I never received a call back. When I called again, I was hung up on. I tried calling back thinking it may have been an accident but they will not answer when I call.

Stopped in today for the first time, as I pulled up they were closing, they saw this and unlocked the door and said come on in, were glad to stay open and help, this was great, I bought my ammo and the staff was friendly and so eager to help. They could have easily said were closed come back. This is perfect customers service. They just eared a returning customer. Thank you again.

Hands down the best gun shop in the entire greater Sacramento area. Im lucky enough to live around the corner but Id drive all the way from elk grove. Ive been to every single shop from Stockton to rocklin & auburn and these guys treat you right. The best part is its a little hidden so theyre less busy than even larger shops at the same time. I drop by weekly if not daily.

Great prices and people that know what they are talking about. Ive been in there several time and each time i go in i like the place more and more. Ive left each time learning something new. I would recommend talking to Rob that works there. He will have a answer for any question you throw his way and knows what hes talking about.... I think i might go i today....
