Theres a reason why Living Spaces has a 2.8 star rating (at the time of me writing this). That is only a 56% a.k.a. an F. Would you go to a doctor who received an F in med school? Would you be happy if your children came home with Fs on their report cards? I have purchased a lot of things at Living Spaces over the years and something must have changed within the last year because this was the most aggravating experience I have ever had with a company (in fact, this is the only review I have ever written). Went to Living Spaces on 5/2/14 and looked at couches. I had a very nice salesman come up and explain that they do not charge more for special ordered fabrics on their couches and that all special orders arrive within 14 days and no later. I then asked if that was calendar days or business days, the salesman explained that it was 14 calendar days. I ordered the couch on 5/10/14 and had both my saleswoman and cashier both reiterate what the original salesman stated: that I be waiting no more than 14 calendar days for my couch. I was moving from my apartment that is literally 2 blocks from Living Spaces on 5/24/14, exactly 14 days after I placed my order. I figured it was perfect, I could pick up my new couch on the same day I was moving everything else. Thats not what happened. I called on 5/23/14 to see what time I could pick them up the next day and was told that they had not even placed the order with the manufacturer. He explained that the manufacturer can make them quickly and it would only be a few days. Called again on 5/24/14 to make sure the order was placed and the woman on the phone told me there was no estimated pick up date and there was no other information she could give me. She told me I would be getting a call in about an hour from a manager and hung up before I could take the survey they have after the call. I eventually accept the fact that I will not get my couches any time soon and give up on calling (no one gives me answers anyways and getting hung up on is no fun). Get a phone call from Rachel 5/28/14, couch is in. Awesome, I tell the woman I will be there today. Call again later in the day to check the pick up hours and the guy on the phone tells me that I wasnt scheduled to pick up that day (are you kidding me???) but he says he put in the info to the customer pick up area and it will be ready from 12:00 to 9:00 for pick up. I sit in an hour of traffic to go get my couch, Im loaded very quickly by a nice guy, Phil, and double check that the color and style are correct. Everything looks right and I head off. Get the couch upstairs and once its inside I realize its way smaller than what I purchased. I check the sales order on my paperwork against whats on the couch and they are different. They loaded me with someone elses couch and I was too excited to finally get my couch to even double check. I put this couch back in my truck and start heading back. I call up Living spaces to make sure my order is in fact in stock and that this was just a loading mistake. Luanda helped me on the phone and she seems to be one of two people at this company that actually has a brain. The loading dock told her that it was a manufacturing error and I explained to her that I thought it was a loading error given that I have a different persons sales order number on my couch. She verifies that they have my actual order and I sit in another hour of traffic to get it. After getting the right order I explain this whole ordeal to Heather the manager and she was nice and gave me a $50 gift card. I doubt I will ever use this gift card because I cannot see myself ever doing business with this company again. My order was late, I was lied to, hung up on and loaded wrong and all I got was a plastic rectangle

My experience at the Living Spaces store itself was fine, but it was the delivery process that has been an ongoing nightmare. On May 9th I purchased a Darcy Sofa from the Rancho Cucamonga store. I worked with two separate sales persons who both assured me they had 1 Darcy Sofa left in stock, and that they could deliver the next day (Saturday May 10th) between the hours of 12-6. I purchased the sofa and I set aside my plans on Saturday and waited for the delivery. Around 9am on Saturday, I received a phone call from Living Spaces to inform me that they "could not locate the couch and were still looking for it" and that they would call me as soon as they found it. I received no update, so I called back later that day and they still had not found out. After describing to Living Spaces how they were wasting my time, they waived the delivery fee and assured me they would deliver it soon. Come Monday evening, I still had not received one phone call from Living Spaces. Again, I call them to get an update on the sofa. The woman I spoke with was unapologetic and rude. Living Spaces offered to transfer the same kind of sofa from their phoenix location, but the only problem is that this will take 7 days. To compound the insult, the woman who was helping me hung up the phone at the end of our conversation so that I could not fill out a survey about her service. 4 days after paying in full, I still have not received the sofa and have an empty living room. Unless Living Spaces were to resolve this situation quickly, I would absolutely not do business with them again and would advise others to avoid them as well. EDIT: 5/2614. I just wanted to post up an update. I was contacted by a customer care representative who assured me that the person I spoke with on the phone was disciplined internally. Also, the customer care representative explained to me why there was a delay in delivering the couch and apologized profusely. He also kept a look out for the couch and had me contacted as soon as it was ready to be delivered. Despite the initial unpleasant experience, Living Spaces took the time to reach out to me and try to make their wrongs right. To me, that means a great deal and I would shop with them again and would suggest them to friends and family.

Wow! Living Spaces you did it again. You fooled me once shame on you, you fooled me twice shame on me. Where do I even start. I have to say one thing that I do like about Living Spaces is the sales reps are not pushy. And one that helped me out is very knowledgeable about the mattress. I purchased a Serts Cal-King split memory foam with all the bells and whistles. My purchase came out to $6,700. Problem# 1. They told me the mattress is on back order, but expect to receive it in 10 days. 3-weeks later and still no mattress. Problem# 2. I decided to go to the store to get some up dated on the mattress. The customer service says to me that weve been trying to get a hold of you to tell you know that your order is in. My response was no you havent, I wear my phone on my hip and I answer all of my calls. She quickly changes the topic to well it can be delivered today. I said yes, 5 minuets later, shes oh oh that thats weird. She calls the warehouse, they told her that the merchandise was damaged during shipment and that theyll have to order another one that will take 3 more days. 2 days past, I got the call that they have the merchandise and that they can deliver the same day. Problem# 3. They will not pick my 10 year old mattress, because it has stains on it, when I was told at the point of sell that they will take the old mattress. So after talking to MANY PEOPLE at the call center (by the way, which theyre horrible) they refuse to take the old one. Problem #4. One of the split foam does not match the other so Im back on the phone re-explaining me self to the call center lady that works for a furniture store, but does not know what a cal-king split memory foam is and simply hung up on me. Problem #5. With great frustration I called again and asked to speak to a manager. She opplogised, corrected my ordered and had it delivered the 8 hours later. The reason why I said they shamed me again, because prior to this transaction, I bought a bedroom set for my daughter and the same thing happened again. I told myself that I wouldnt shop there again. Every since Living Spaces started contacting out their delivery service Their customer service has gone down. Folks read this post and others before you shop there. Thank you
