I never write reviews, but my experience with the Sofa Company was so bad that I thought it merrited this review. I ordered my couch from the Sofa Co to be delivered "white glove", which I was told was an extra charge and I gladly paid for the convenience. All went well until my couch shipped out. The Sofa Company had accidentally shipped the couch with a carrier that does not do deliveries into peoples homes, just curbside. I didnt discover this until the delivery company called me to schedule a delivery. When I called the Sofa Co to explain the problem, they had the couch transferred to a different shipper. After waiting two weeks, I finally called the Sofa Co to ask what had happened, They assured me everything was fine and to expect a delivery any day. I called the new shipper to confirm, and they said they had no record of receiving the couch. They also said that they would only do curb side delivery. After several phone calls and very little response from the Sofa Co, I discovered that my couch had somehow been lost in the process of transferring from the original shipper to the new shipper (who still wouldnt be able to deliver the couch into my actual house!) After several more hours on the phone and some irate emails, my couch was finally discovered 100 miles farther from my house than it had been a month prior. A few more emails and phone calls led to the couch being transferred to a THIRD shipper. The third shipper finally showed up a week later with the couch, only to realize that they didnt have enough people to get the couch into my apartment. Later that afternoon, they moved the couch into the apartment, damaging my entryway and one of my wood door jams in the process. After another series of irate emails, I finally gave up on receiving any refund or payment for the damage to my house. Im sure this is a great company to work with if you dont have to deal with shipping, but I would NEVER, EVER, use this company again if you are going to have your furniture delivered to your house.

Our experience with The Sofa Company in Pasadena was awesome. We were able to completely customize our sofa and get all the features we wanted and needed at a reasonable price. It was appealing to us that the sofa was made right here in Los Angeles. The sofa was completely made to order, and fits perfectly in our living room. The sales staff were extremely helpful in helping us decide which combination of sectional would work best for us, as well as helping us decide color and fabric. Were looking forward to enjoying our new sofa for years to come. The only negative (and just a small one) was the delivery service department. We had to play phone tag several times because I work during the day and their hours were not convenient. But we worked it out, and the sofa arrived safely. Were very pleased with our choice of the Sofa Company Pasadena for our major sofa purchase.

My wife and I had been in to the Pasadena store about 6 weeks ago to get some information on a new couch. We had just moved and our old furniture just wasnt working in our new digs. Well fortune smiled on us that day as the manager, Chad, spent the good part of an hour explaining (even though i told him that we werent purchasing that day) all the ins and outs of getting a couch-why we didnt need a sleeper, fabrics, the difference between down and synthetic down etc. etc.-it was an education. We left that day knowing which couch would work for us and why. Cut to six weeks later and as we walk in Chad looks up from his computer and says hey guys welcome back!! He then led us through a seamless purchasing process that I wish was the rule instead of the exception!! We are expecting our new couch in mid December and I will post again when we take delivery.

When we were in the market for a new couch, we checked out Macy and such but none suited our needs. We wanted something a bit more custom. So on the advice of my neighbor whos an interior designer, we headed to the Sofa Company in Pasadena because as she said, "It offers a great value for what you get." Indeed! The selection is overwhelming. The design consultants were very patient with us as we sat on couch after couch. Even after we found the style we liked, we "tweaked" the design but changing the feet as well as the cushions and even the size! We ended up with a couch that fits our exact needs. Best part was the price. Very competitive.

We were looking for a sectional to fit our smaller living room and started getting frustrated with the limited selection from the usuals... Pottery Barn, Crate and Barrel, etc. The Sofa Company gave us so many options. We suddenly had about a dozen sofa styles and endless fabric options at our fingertips! We completed our customized sectional with the a sofa bed in one part and they extended one side by a foot to fit PERFECTLY in our space. All this and still HALF the price of the other guys. VERY helpful staff helped up put it all together! Cannot wait to get it!

Our interior designer recommended a custom small, love seat sofa, that would have cost about $3,000. We were interested in a larger sofa, and potentially one with a fold-out bed. A friend referred us to The Sofa Company in Pasadena. We found a larger, stylish sofa frame; built it to include a memory-foam fold-out bed; and included the same very durable, but fairly expensive fabric our designer had recommended. My husband and I had been searching for the perfect size couch for our awkwardly sized room, but with no luck. Following a referral from a friend, we decided to check out The Sofa Company as a last-ditch effort. We are so, so happy we did! Chad, the store manager, helped us build our perfect couch, and for an unbelievable price. It was so refreshing to work with someone who was not pushy or annoying, just totally knowledgable and helpful on the product. Have already recommended this place to all my coworkers...and I was just there yesterday.

Good in store experience and lots of apologies for: A) Getting the design on both pieces wrong, so we had to send them back after the 6 week wait B) Forgetting to load both pieces on the truck once both were fixed, so now were still waiting... C) Not having the delivery paperwork correct to reflect the free old sofa pickup/disposal, resulting in a haggle with the driver. Very nice at the store and a fun process to build the pieces, but behind the scenes - not so good IMHO

With so many options, The Sofa Company really has every style of sofa you can imagine. I had done a ton of research about sofas in the LA area, and found that this was the best option in terms of choice of styles and price. Chad was very helpful in explaining all the options and in determining what was the best size for my apartment setup. An easy, no-pressure experience, I look forward to the arrival of my new couch very soon.
