The time that Ive visited the store and asked questions about their parrots and fish about their origin I was either given a lie or "I dont know but I think they come from a local breeder." Upon checking the leg bands of two African Grey Parrots that I was told came from a breeder in Los Angeles I found the state initial UT. If you dont know what leg band coding means you wouldnt know that the Greys came from a breeder in Utah. Most breeders put their initials of the business name, state, and followed by a serial number. I didnt appreciate being told a lie and it made me wonder if they actually had a vet check out their animals as I was told by the store manager that they have a certified vet on staff. Ive never met that person or seen any certificates on display of such qualified personnel. Prices maybe fair than Petco or Petsmart but I dont shop there if I dont need to due to their sourcing from breeding mills.

It has a pretty good selection of parrot products and cages. Some products like some large parrots pellet food and toys are somewhat cheaper than Petco but cages are expensive and a little overpriced. Parrots they sell seem to be taken care of well but not all employees know enough about their parrots or parrots in general to be much help in answering questions. I have also notice some of the large parrots they sell have behavioral problem like biting, screaming, plucking, aggression and again a little over priced. Will not buy a parrot from them but will buy toys and food when they are cheaper than other places.

I really love Skyway Feed & Supply in Paradise. Its an enormous store and they carry a huge amount of inventory for just about every type of pet. They have dozens of different brands of food for dogs, dozens of brands for cats, etc. The friendly staff will help you pick out the perfect food for your animal. They have a large selection of pet toys, pet clothes, collars, leashes, beds - you name it. They have bird, fish and horse supplies, as well. The manager, Maggie, is very professional and knows the business inside and out. Its the best place to buy pet feed and supplies in Butte County.

My daughter-in-law bought a supposedly male cat there on a Friday, only to find that it had worms. On the following Monday, we notified the store manager, who rudely informed us that 24 hrs. had passed and they refused to take any further reponsibility. We then took the cat to the vet, who told us it was not a male, but a female. Furthermore, it had ear mites, fleas, and severe worms, requiring considerable expense. Suffice it to say, Skyway will never get any further busines from us, and we urge any other propsective shoppers to beware. They are no better than a puppy mill!

I love this pet store for picking up food for my parrot, and they sell some local foods for dogs! If they dont stock an item you are looking for, they will order it for you! They also have a good selection of birds and reptiles for sale!
