I was passing this store and saw an item in the display window that caught my eye. So I stopped and asked the sales person, who was at the door if they carried men’s clothing since the item I saw was footwear on a male mannequin. Her reply indicated to me to that they did carry some men’s items so I entered the store and asked where I would find those shoes. Rather than taking me to that section she simply told me the sizes that they had and I soon learned that these would not work out. I then asked who made the shoes so I could look elsewhere; she promptly gave me a name and appeared to want me to leave. I made the mistake of asking if she could write the name down or provide me with something to write it on so I would not forget. She declined my request and simply repeated the name three times, again expecting me to leave. Thankfully technology was able to assist and a quick text message saved the moment. Mind you the store had just opened for business and there was no one there so it wouldn’t have inconvenienced anyone for the sales person to take a moment and write the name down. None the less I took the little bit of information that she passed on and did some research. Unfortunately what I found was that either I had been intentionally misled or the sales person didn’t know her merchandise. I contacted the designers store in New York and was told that he was a women’s wear designer and made perhaps one or two footwear items per season. This led me to wonder why the sales person didn’t simply tell me that she didn’t know who made the shoes or that the store had placed women’s shoes on their male mannequin? Either response would have been acceptable but to intentionally mislead a potential customer I find inexcusable.

Chiic is a treasure of delights! For every special occasion I have always been able to find the absolutelyt perfect ensemble. A case in point, since I live part of the time on an island off of Cape Cod and was next to impossible to find a truly outstanding dress to wear to my sons wedding,, a week away I just knew that within minutes after walking into CHIC, the right dress would be staring me in the face! And it was! and not only was the dress perfect but the owner, Rana, petrsonally drove me to her dressmaker to have the alterations done perfectly in time for the wedding! I recommend CHIC without reservation.

the most gorgeous, avant garde clothes for women that Ive seen since moving to this area. I WONT buy anything made in China - not a problem at this high end boutique. They carry hot designers from Iceland to Germany to France and beyond. Very hip very chic. My kind of store and I so look forward to going back in and spending money
