*** Brief Overview *** Great views, great ambiance, decent wine, flavorful cheeses. Get some great company and this place is fantastic to relax and enjoy sipping on some wine. *** A More Detailed Review *** Came here with the fam, four of us, and was seated immediately next to the windows with a great waterview of the Monterey coast! Our server was great in helping us out with the menu because we were some wine tasting noobs. Oh yeah, if you are simply here for wine tasting, you stand at the bar area. If you are here for the food as well, you get to sit down and enjoy the view, and thats what we did. We ended up getting three flights of wine, all red. Paired it with some cheese recommendations from the server and was good to go. The wine to me, honestly, since I am not a connoisseur, was all decent to me. The cheese however was great. We got a goat cheese, jack cheese, and this last one called the Buzzed Bee (??). The Buzzed Bee was my favorite. It had a light smokey coating on the outside and it was creamy on the inside. They also paid the cheeses with either some jam, sun-dried tomatoes, and also some crackers. It was fantastic. We had a great time just sipping on wine relaxing and eating some cheese and enjoying the view. I would definitely come back here if I were ever in Monterey again. With an order of a flight, you can get $5 off a bottle purchase if that bottle is more than $30. We also ordered a beer flight which consisted of three local breweries, pretty good! *** Misc Info *** •Located within this plaza thing, on the second floor. Use the stairs if you can, you cant miss the entrance •Accepts card •You can either look for street parking, or there are flat rate parking garages for about $15/day

This was our last of many stops during a weekend getaway to Monterey County. While the wines in Monterey are not as good or consistent in quality as other wine areas in California, this place does a GREAT job of rounding up the regions best wines. Hidden at the top and tucked away from traffic, this place has a great view of Monterey Bay. Belly up to the bar for a standard tasting or reserve tasting. Esposa and I split them to see the difference - and it was marked. The wines from the standard tasting were meh, while those from the reserve tasting were uniformly excellent. We liked them so much that we joined the Reserve Wine Club. We then sashayed to a table, where we snarfed on some yummy tapas and a bottle of reserve wine. Staff are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Overall: VERY GOOD. RECOMMENDED.

Ive gone to this place many times for the view and the atmosphere. The waiters and the bar staff are just wonderful. If I could give one suggestion, it would be to have a different hostess who doesnt open up with "you dont get seated, we sit you... have you been here before?" She left my boyfriend speechless... then when he finally said "yes weve been here before, many times." Responding with "well, weve changed our rules." No apology for her tone or the way it came out... I will still continue to come back, I love everything about this place despite this one poor encounter with the front hostess

We were looking for something simple and easy and we found this place tucked in next to Bubba Gumps. The food is fantastic here. We tried a bunch of things from the menu, such as the sausage platter, the baked brie, the margarita pizza, and the clam chowder. Wow... everything was just so good. We also sampled some wines, and I liked the Line Shack Syrah so much that I bought a case of it. I had a great time in Monterey, but when I think of Monterey the first thing that comes to mind is my experience here. Wonderful!

Great place to check out a plethora of local Monterey Wines without visiting every single winery in the area. I believe there are at least 70-90 wineries nearby, and you can find most of them at this one location, which is great. They also have a great selection of gourmet foods to munch on, and some outstanding views. Monterey is becoming well known for their Pinots, and I especially like the ones that come from the Santa Lucia Highlands. Youll find a great selection of Pinot here to try.

I came here because I bought a Groupon experience ($33) for two wine flights and a plate of cheese. My friend and I ordered, on top of that, the Monterey Crab dip and Viva Italia Flatbread Pizza. We had a great view of the ocean, the food was super delicious, our waiter was extremely helpful with tips on what wine to try first and which pairing of the cheese plate to try. I left extremely full. You cant go wrong with wine, cheese, and ocean view.

We went here on a Groupon offer, and we had a blast. We tried two different flights of wine. If you dont know what a flight is, its a few glasses of wine served together as a tasting. Each of those wines has a theme in common (like red, white, etc.) The bacon-wrapped figs with blue cheese were amazing. The price was a bit high, but hey, its a winery on Cannery Row. You need to know that going into it.

The service here is super slow. Once you order everyone disappears. Youre lucky if you look around and see one employee at any given time. Our server was no existent. Took a good half hour to get our check and us standing up to leave for them to run our card. Food was decent but nothing to write home about. I would avoid. View is nice.

Cute place with a great view! The wine tasting and cheese platter was very good. Our waiter Oscar was fantastic friendly and knowledgeable of the wine selection. Will def come back!!!

Great place to have a glass of wine. This place has amazing views of the bay, and a relaxing environment. The food menu is very good as well, cant go wrong with the crab artichoke dip.
