I have been a loyal Marshalls customer for well over 5 years. I appreciate the great variety and value that this store always delivers. Unfortunately, this evening I had one of the worst shopping experiences ever. While attempting to return items that I purchased at your store only two days ago, Sergio M. (the on-duty manager) and Olga N. (Sales Associate) were both disrespectful, assuming and downright rude. They did not thoroughly check my receipt against the items I was attempting to return and instead incorrectly denied my claim. When I provided additional details about the return items, the manager immediately began to argue with me and in fact raised his voice as he put blame on me in front of several other customers. The return items were clearly on the original receipt and unused, yet both the manager and sales associate were obnoxiously, unhelpful in processing the return. Needless to say, this situation was handled very poorly and I was extremely disappointed with the customer service I received from a Marshalls sales associate and even more alarming the on-duty manager. I truly enjoy shopping at Marshalls but unfortunately, this experience has left me with a negative impression and I will be hesitant to shop here again in the future. I hope that this situation is addressed before other customers are exposed to this unacceptable level of service.
