Went to have a d16 vtec head resurfaced here. When they returned it, it was missing all the sensors and VTEC solenoid. When I asked where it was, they couldnt find it, and said it arrived with no solenoid or sensors. They said to call back on Wednesday to see if another guy had misplaced it. Called back Wednesday, started to get the run around "We dont have it, We never took it off..." and some rude words exchanged, assuming that I was trying to score free parts from the shop, which isnt the case. "...Call back later" Called the owner or machine shop manager, let him know what was going on. Got a call back about 15 minutes later saying they found my box of parts. Stopped by to pick up my parts, broken water neck and missing one of the temperature sensors. This head came in ready to swap onto another block, now I have to find another water neck and temp sensor. But they did an ok job cleaning it (soaking in simple green for the few days they had it would have worked better), never heard the results or got a result from pressure test, and what else would you expect from a resurface, besides that it was done. I wont be bringing back anything else to the Hust Bros machine shop.

I always do my shopping around but it always ends up back at Hust. Very few times the competition has a better price and only once have Hust told me theyd have to order it. I assume they have 50 acres of parts behind those walls because they always seem to find what Im looking for. What impresses me is the guys behind the counter. Unlike many of the other parts store, these guys really do know what theyre talking about. Nice and laid back, no pressure or making me feel stupid. Id give them 5 stars but the last time I was in there the counter guy wouldnt give me one of the hotdogs he had lined up and was throwing down. How inconsiderate ... I was realllllly hungry. My only petty gripe is that nothing has a price on it so you have to wait to ask someone. This often leads me to think of more stuff to buy that I probably didnt really need.

I need to talk to a manager soon about a partial refund due to parts being installed incorrectly. The small shaft for my distributor wasnt installed before the oil pan was put on and Im not sure what kind of glue you guys used to attach that gasket but it tore apart like no other, meaning I had to order a whole new lower gasket kit for my car just to get the oil pan gasket after installing the shaft myself. Also, who returns an engine with parts not attached and a box full of spare bolts. I pray the work done internally was done properly because I couldnt stand dealing with the lies and unfulfilled deadlines again.

Slow service. Has had my motor approx 5 1/2 mo. Lack of communication. Which makes it extremely inconvenient when u need to get a "plan B", in case your part is not machineable. Make sure u get a name of the person u talk to on the fone when u get a quote bc the quote/price and service to b performed was different. It use to b reputable and reliable when I took them my business in the 80s... so sad

The machine shop wanted to much money to get my aveo head fixed.i was able to buy a NEW head ($350)ready to be put into my car for less than what they where charging to fix mine. And all the where goin to do is valve job,clean, and pressure check it($295) not including valve guides or valve seat if it needs it.What a waste of time.

Very slow machine shop took weeks to just pressure test and vacuum test and surface one head and when i got the head back i was missing parts and they said that they were not on it offered no help in replacing lost parts and the head ended up being bad after they did a bunch of work
