I read the past Google reviews which to me didnt appear to be too favorable. I needed to take care of business with AT&T so I reluctantly called the La Jolla store in the morning of 11/18/15 with low expectations of their customer service. The phone was answered on the 2nd ring and the salesperson sounded very cheerful. I had asked about if they had in inventory and iPhone 6s plus. He put me on hold to go check. Much to my surprise he came back within 20-30 seconds with the answer. They did and he offered if I wanted to follow up with a purchase or come inside and speak to a sales representative. I said not at this time. I called later in the afternoon with the same question, to see if they still had it. I received the same cheerful service from a different salesperson. Still having my guard up, I went to the store that evening. As I walked in, I was greeting by 2 salespersons with an overwhelming friendly hello and offer for assistance, but they were not pushy at all. I did need assistance so they helped me immediately. Throughout my experience within the store, they kept helping me and saying "sure thing, we can do that, not a problem at all, etc". They had a very friendly tone and were very knowledgeable on my options. Without a missed step, they quickly were able to assist me, provide me with the phone I wanted, set me up and also offered additional services. I declined the additional services and they put no pressure on me but only to tell me if I change my mind, feel free to come back and theyd be happy to help. I told them how I had expected bad service, but I was very pleasantly surprised how they were not only friendly, but very knowledgeable and helpful! I would definitely recommend the AT&T La Jolla store to anyone that wants quality service with a friendly staff.

I went in to get a month-to-month plan and worked with a newer associate who had been working there less than half a year. After picking out a basic phone and plan, he printed out the paperwork which showed that it was on a two year contract however he said he could amend the contract to make it month-to-month and he signed and initialed the receipt/paperwork. When I tried to cancel my service several months later, I first tried calling. I was quickly transferred to a manager once the initial rep said they couldnt help me, but even the manager didnt have anything to say except it appeared I had a contract and would have to pay the termination fee. I started to feel uneasy about the service, but went back to the store to settle things and happened to talk to the same person who had sold me the phone/plan. I spoke to the same sales associate who remembered me, and I canceled my service successfully, or so I thought. A couple of months later I received a bill for about $100 of termination fees, I again tried to call AT&Ts customer service line as well as going into the store to have this fee canceled, however no luck on either front. After a month of trying on and off to contact someone who would help, I gave up and paid it. I switched to Verizon at that point. I wouldnt recommend this store, or AT&T at all. In-store service was okay but I felt they werent completely attentive (I also realized after the point I should have pushed for them to not just amend my contract but to give me a plan that truly was month to month). The customer service hotline was worse.

WORST service ever, do it online and DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE!!! First, the guys lie to you. I asked the first guy about the plan rate, and he guaranteed that I can have a discount. So I waited 15 minutes, and then they told me that there will be NO DISCOUNT at all (which is not true). Second, all they care is money. The first sentence they replied to my question is THERE WILL BE A $18 FEE in order to help me. Even worse, they cannot solve the problem (thanks for the help, Eddie). Third, the system is BROKEN. They asked me to have the bill responsibility transferred, and I did. The staff asked me to select a plan I want, but I didnt find the one I need. The guy called Eddie said I can solve it online, so I drove home but found that he provided totally wrong information. There is NO WAY to find the plan as he suggested. I talked to a representative online and the representative was very helpful, but the issue was that my SIM card was not compatible to the new plan. So I drove back to the store to ask for a switch, but this Eddie refused to do so. What I need is simply switch from one plan to another, and I have spent 4 hours on it, with the problem UNSOLVED.

I tried to walk into this store at 7:40PM, as they close at 8:00PM, and they told me I couldnt come in because they already closed their registers. I asked them why the registers are closed when they dont close for another 20 minutes, and the guy was rude and said he didnt need to answer me. Meanwhile, a mother and daughter tried to also enter the store and was the told the same thing in a very rude manner. They seemed really desperate to get a phone that evening as their phone was destroyed, but to no avail. The guy was so rude about it too. I couldnt believe what I saw, and he pretty much slammed the door in our faces. I called the regional manager the next day, and he assured me that they should not have closed up that early. I wound up going to the Clairemont store, and the customer service was so great there! They were completely professional and it was a complete difference from the UTC store! I will never go to this particular AT&T store again!

this is the worst store i have ever been to. They put dont answer the phones in there even if there are no customers in the store so there is pretty much no way of talking to them. They put me on a 3 week loop so far on getting the iphone4. we ordered 2 of those and a 3gs and added 2 new phones to the plan and they still gave us crappy service. I am going to assume that no other wireless store has ever treated customers so crappy. if you are getting an iphone, go to apple at UTC dont go to this store. if you are trying to do anything else att go to another store. it seriously is worth the 5-10 mile drive to cmnt or dtlj just to talk to some1 cause they will treat you like a customer should. THIS STORE SUCKS SOOOOO BAD I HOPE IT GOES OF BUISNESS AND THEY PUT A CHUCKY CHEEZE IN THERE

I went to this store to order a new iPhone4. The ordering process was smooth and got good and knowledgeable assistance. However, I was told that the phone would be shipped in 3 to 5 business days. About 6 business days later I passed by the store and was told that nope, it was 7-10 business days, so the first guy lied to me to get the order. It is now 10 business days and I still have no notification of shipment whatsoever and the store phone number has NO option for customer help, they re-route you to ATT or Apple. They only answer the phone if you wan to order new service. Since I am leaving town, and they hold the phone for only 7 days, I am stuck. This is really bad service.
