Went in this beauty supply for the 1st time yesterday and i will NEVER spend my money there again! I was standing in line and the employee closed the line right in my face and walked away. So i said okay...whats going on? That was very rude. The employee said "well the line starts over there anyways." so i said well you could have told me that instead of just leaving me here looking stupid. The employee said "you need to calm down, your buying braiding hair. The hair is cheap and you are broke." we exchanged words and words led to cursing each other out. The manager didnt say anything nor did he do anything. He didnt make an attempt to stop his employee from disrespecting his customer. I had children with me but if i didnt, i guarantee things would have went a whole lot differently. But what she doesnt know is that i am a educated black woman who is determined to do whatever i have to do to bring this company down. That employee was too comfortable with talking like that and from the looks of these reviews her behavior is being allowed from their managers/owner. I am definitely making a complaint against this company and i will expose the video footage taken of this incident. If i recieve a sincere apology from the owner & employee, i will not proceed actions against this company.

I use to love this beauty supply. They literally have everything a person could need or want. But I went in there two weeks ago and experienced the worst customer service. I was standing at the hair section waiting for someone to help me .(I literally stood there for 10 minutes while three employees had a full conversation) there was another woman standing there before I approach the station .she looked at me and said wow I cant believe they havent asked either of us if we need help. I agreed with her and said I know right. The Chubby Spanish man look at the both of us with an attitude and said well neither of you asked for help so what did you expect? That FAT bastard was so rude. I then asked to speak to the manager in charge and he said you dont need to speak to a manager you can leave. My first thought was to have my husband come in there and beat his ass because he was ridiculously disrespectful unnecessarily. But instead I just decided to calmly leave and take my business elsewhere. I have read the bad reviews about this place and I could never relate until now! I have been a customer at this location for at least 10 years never again will I shop at that beauty supply store. The owner seriously needs to clean up his staff

I visited this beauty supply for the first time today out of desperation. My sister was getting her hair braided and needed hair right away. Normally I go out of my way to support black businesses, but because we were pressed for time we stopped here. We arrived when the store first opened so they were not busy. We were not greeted upon entering the store. The staff acted as if we were bothering them when we asked for assistance; and the last straw was when we waited to be rung up and they all stood around at the register instead of assisting us. When we asked to be rung up they snatched the hair from us and said " its too early for attitudes we will not be serving you in this store" and refused to proceed with our transaction. I would encourage all black people to think twice before supporting this business. They are monetizing off of the black community while neglecting to give respect to the citizens residing in the community. There are many black owned beauty supply stores in the Los Angeles area. Please support them and buy black.

This place does, indeed, have every hair product you can think of. However, the awful customer service out weighs the variety of the store itself. My best friend (who has minimal knowledge about buying hair or knowledge about hair shops period) asked for assistance & was blown off by the employees. She final bought a ponytail that displayed a picture on the front of the package of her desired look. She couldnt open the package to check if it matched the picture because it was restricted. When she opened it at home, the merchandise was opposite of what the picture showed on the front. We went back to exchange it. After reasoning with the girl at the counter, the manager came over & said, "Imma tell ya this one time, you need to check before you buy!" UGH!!! I was so angry. I get it; your in da hood, but dont be rude to respectful peeps. Or to any customer, period.

My sister and I went to CJs to purchase a wig. Radiation and chemotherapy treatments have caused her to lose all of her hair. CJs has a policy that you can only try on four wigs. I explained to the employee that my sister was not bald by choice and that she did not wear wigs, but has been forced to due to circumstance. Also, she would need to try on as many as necessary in order to find the wig that would satisfy her. I asked if they had a compassion policy. This is Breast Cancer month and businesses that service women who have been affected by this awful disease, should be aware of its affects. They should be open and ready to service these women with compassion. I did not find any compassion by their employees and will not patronize any establishment that will not acknowledge the severe impact that this disease has on women.

One of the Hispanic employee yelled at a two year old for touching Combs that were in a basket. When the mother of the child confronted the employee about addressing her child in that manner, the employee told her to get the F**k out the store. Long story short, the employee which was a woman had 3 240pound plus Hispanic men physically escort her out. Once the women was out of the store the 3 Hispanic men and the women employees and the Asian owner all started to call the black women " A black ghetto ass Ni**er". When the employees came back in the store they excorted all the African American people out and told us not to come back. These people are dead ass wrong!! I will Never in my life step foot in this establishedment again.

Super confused at the negative ratings. This store and the staff are amazeballs. The staff always helps you find what you are looking for, and if they dont have it will recommend an alternative product. Which is rare because they have everything. The girl that helps with the wigs will tell you flat out if something looks crazy on you. So if people cant take that honesty well then maybe they should go somewhere where they lie to you just to get your money.

Theyre customer service sucks. They have some good products, just not the friendliest staff. Attitudes, Attitudes, Attitudes... People spend allot of money in places like these and expect good service. There is a Hispanic man there with a bald head that totally is awful. I only purchase items if he is not working that day. SMH! Just because your in the hood, doesnt mean you hire hoodrats!!!

Customer service is absolutely awful. I needed a few products while traveling and the water head guy I asked a question was such an ass. The girl at check out was also just as bad. Had they not had the color I wanted thats hard to find, I would have left. Those people were so rude. Total un-appreciation of the black consumer. Never again no matter how desperate and dire the situation.
