New Pronoia Bliss
This store is old. Its not like the new one in Pleasant Hill. However, I would say it is better organized. For instance, the Create 365 items are together on a four piece. Whereas at the Pleasant Hill store, you have product on the aisle at the front of the store, and then on a four piece in the middle of the store. Talk about confusing! (When I was taking a class with my friend, I would direct her to get items, and she couldnt find them and vice versa. We finally figured it out that we were talking about two separate locations. Ugh!) I digress. The customer service was good in helping me find the Create 365 product and the cashier was good. Although, it was slow checking out. Only two cashiers were up front. The Pleasant Hill store normally has an abundance of cashiers for quicker check out.

If u know what art supplies u are looking for, Michaels probably has a variety. And now that there is a new guy in town, Hobby Lobby, maybe that will encourage Michaels to lower their prices. As an example, I was looking for an artist easel, Michaels had three, all great products, all three very expensive. The one I wanted was $179.00. The EXACT same model at HL was $108. An $80.00 difference. Unbelievable. Welcome Hobby Lobby.!! Michaels just lost my business. Probably no reason to shop there for art supplies any more.

I like this location, they are always fully stocked and they have a very helpful, friendly staff. This location is always clean and the items are easy to find. For the Holidays, I have noticed that this location always has a lot of wonderful ideas and several fun things to browse for in case you are in need of inspiration. The parking lot is usually very busy due to the location and neighboring shops but I highly recommend shopping here if you have been bit by the crafting bug.

We had a piece of art (big size) that was delayed and not installed properly at the Emeryvilles Michael store. We brought it to the Dublin store, a young lady from the framing department fixed the issue in a professional and timely manner. She also provided suggestions on how to hang the art on a wall. We are very happy with her excellent service, we will be back whenever we have a need on framing, thanks!

I regularly visit Michaels for all my art and craft supplies. Its usually clean and organized. I have also bought supplies for my sons Pinewood Derby. Its very busy on weekends.
