The only time I shop at Best Buy is when I find deals online and do the in store pick up option. I really hate it, but I just want to save a few bucks on shipping. The problem is that I know every time that I go, I would have to wait at least 20 minutes to pick up my item. Their service is really slow. What really set me off to write this negative review is because of the extremely poor customer service I received on my last visit. I purchased a camera for my mothers day present to my mom. I decided to check out the camera before wrapping it up. I noticed right away that it wasnt packaged like it should be and that there were fingerprints all over the camera. Obviously it was used and Best Buy had sold me a used product. When I went in to get an exchange on mothers day, the employee was being a smartass saying that it was brand new and worked perfectly fine. Everytime I would say something, she would respond with a smartass remark. I dont know why she was trying to argue with me even though it was their fault that I received a used product. All I wanted to do was to get an exchange and get out of there as soon as possible. The camera was sold out and I requested to talk to a manager to resolve my situation. The manager named Gredel got another employee to help me look for another camera to replace mines. When I returned and waited another 20 mins for the manager to show up. She told me that I had to pay the difference for any camera that I wanted to replace it with. She was so rude and staring down on me with an unpleasant look the entire time. They were unable to put in an order for a replacement or find a place with one in stock. They were so unhelpful and werent understanding at all to my situation. Thanks for messing up my mothers day present Best Buy.

Worst best buy ever......I had purchased a washer and dryer and they told me I couldnt recive it the same day that I had to wait 3 weeks..the price was better then other places ...so I accept .....then when the day came......I went to work early..they called me saying they were outside my house ...to deliver my stuff...I told them ..I was at work....if they could come later afternoon. They said no...that if I did show up in 30mins. That They Were Going To Come Some other day...so I told them to wait for me that I was going home it would take an hour so if they could wait.. unbelievable they said no.......30 mins. Only...so I got mad and told them I been waiting 3 weeks and you cant wait one hour ....so they left......and that I was going to recive my stuff next day ....which they never showed up ...what tf....I called...and they told me I was going to recive. My stuff until august ...wtf...were on apirl ...are you kidding me and I havent recive anything and the bill has a ready arrive. ..dont buy anything from here...bad service bad timing they do you like whatever. .....go to any other best buy but not this one...super bad delivery

A major problem I have with this Best Buy is that if you call their store for whatever reason, be it to check if they have an item, ask a question about a product, once you get past the automated system, youll hear the phone ring, and youd be very lucky if you get someone to answer. And it only seems to be this store in Downey. Other locations, such as in Lakewood and Cerritos, Ive never had this problem. Maybe they need to increase the staff, or manage the staffing better. Also, dont rely on BestBuys online item location system. I called today wanting to buy a computer product that said they had it in stock, not only on Best Buys website, but in the stores computer inventory. They put me on hold for 15 minutes, and couldnt find the item. Called back 2 hours later, still couldnt locate them. The store is alright, but if they knew how to answer their phones so people can make inquiries before they go to the store, and know how to manage inventory and stock, then it would be a better store.

Please avoid this place. Like most i ignored the reviews nope spot on they have the worst customer service ever i went to pick up an item that i purchased online an email said its ready for pick up i waited in line for about 30 minutes finally it was my turn a guy said sorry your not on the list i said what list after i put my self on the other list i waited 15 more minutes i called for a manager omg unprofessional and not helfull he was literally yelling and raising his voice instead of helping me. I use to go here a lot but now i do not guess what i find myself going to the one in compton let me tell you way better customer service please ditch this best buy in downey they never want to help amd guess what we keep that place open we are the reason they get a pay check and when i come in i am the one not getting any help it is your job please do not come here waste of time dealing with these idiots

Went in the other day to buy a laptop with my girlfriend, and everyone was pretty rude. From getting the laptop to paying for a case up at the register, everyone seemed to have an attitude. I can understand how it might be a little hectic and stressful on busy days, but there were hardly any customers in the store. So there really was no excuse. Once we were finally helped with the laptop we tried finding a case. Initially we couldnt find the price tag for the case so we asked one of the managers on the floor for help. The managers response was "Well, I can see how that can be a problem." and then walked away. I understand how he can be in the whole "So this is it for me, manager of a Best Buy" mode, but thats not my fault. Just do your job, help me out, and sulk about your crappy life later. Im done with this store.

After shopping at and comparing both Best Buy and Frys Electronics, I can say without no doubt that Best Buy is a more expensive and has the badworse customer service. It seems like the employees at Best Buy are not trained sufficiently enough to be able to inform the costumer about what they are buying. They are not enthusiasm about what they are selling. When I go to Frys Electronics, I always have interesting conversations with the employees there about technology. I cant get the same at Best Buy. Hopefully, I will not need to go to Best Buy in the near future and just order things online or drive a far distance to Frys Electronics.

I Miguel Silva went to Best Buy yesterday January 6th 2017 to make a payment and they told me my money was fake. They looked at it under the light and scratched it etc and still said they couldnt take it. Went to F&M Bank and they verified its real. When I went back to Best Buy they denied saying it was fake and that they couldnt accept it. Why wouldnt you be able to accept someone money? I feel I was discriminated against especially after proving my money is real. I asked for an apology and they said for what. I had to insist to Luis Hinojosa for his business card and he said for what its not necessary.
