My Saturday dinner has been ruined by this Safeway. I cut a dicon I bought two days ago, and it had a black ring from the top to the bottom. I tried to forget about it. Then, I was gonna cook the muscles I also bought two days ago. They were unedible. They smelled bad. At this point, I felt pretty bad, but I calmed down myself and decided to talk to the customers service. Called them and said "you have some good stuff, but I need to complain regarding some items." She said "ok," so I said "first, the mangos are bad. I bought them twice, but they were bad, so I stopped buying mangos. And a few months ago, I bought a cantelope. It wasnt ready to eat at all. It was like a hard vegetable. and today, I cut a dicon I bought two days ago. It had a black ring and the muscles are not fresh at all." At that point, she told me to hold on and transferred my call somewhere, where no one answered the phone. Id shopped here for more than a year since its at a convenient spot, but Id hate to go back here.

I shop here a lot because its close to me, but have to say that I dont enjoy it. They seem to have maybe 2 cashiers at all times, causing huge lines and congestion. I never buy alcohol here because I cant stand to wait 15 minutes in a line when I can at least self check out quickly otherwise. Prices are substantially higher than Target or Walmart, unless something is on sale. Be sure you have a Club card, or youre paying 15% more than you should be. Its also kind of dark in a lot of areas, and feels oddly uninviting. Still, they have a good selection and the place is always jam packed, so they must be doing something right. Just miss my Publix.

As a foreign tourist in the country on a California road trip I must say that I am impressed by the assortment in this shop (equally good as in Ralps, Vons, and Albertson as we also have visited) especially if you compare to the same types of grocery shops in Sweden. We were jumping in in the morning to fix some pic nic food. There were few people shopping and there were plenty of people to ask (if you are a newcomer you will always have hard to find things). Only one cashier line was open. But I am also surprised of a relative high price levels (we do not look for the chespiest things) so you should definitely be a club member.

Its a Safeway grocery store, with a Jamba juice and a Starbucks inside. Nothing too out of the ordinary for the store, although they have a really good flower section, and a good selection of really good fresh fruits and veggies. There is a pharmacy at the rear of the store. But Ive never used it. The staff/associates/workers are all very polite, and while there are often very long lines, they do their best to clear them out soonest possible. All in all, not a bad place to shop.

i am appalled that this store fired an employee for defending a pregnant woman from repeated attacks by her irate boyfriend who was hitting and kicking her. Mr. manager this is post 9/11 ! we dont just notify the police and wait for them to show. We stand up and fight back. If the local police are hailing him as a hero WHY ARENT YOU? SHAME ON YOU!

For a Safeway, a big chain conventional grocery store, its fantastic. I love how this store sources so much organic, local produce! They have a pretty good organics section including ridiculously yummy coconut milk ice cream. Sometimes the service could be better, the cashiers are very nice but not always most efficient with their time.

I really like this store. 24/7, excellent service from the employees. I had an issue with one employee months ago and the way the manager handled was the correct one. Friendly, fast and you can find many good and a good price groceries. Love how they handle the couponers, their app, and their service.

The Safeway store in on Canyon Del Rey is a very well kept store always very clean. When using their Just For You you will find that the savings and quality of items purchased is well worth it but you will need to take the time to add items to your list in order to get the savings.

Fine selection and helpful staff. Produce department usually has good organic options. Butchers counter usually has a good range of quality cuts at moderate prices, but seafood section needs to up its game. Deli makes great sandwiches and wine and beer selection is a plus.

Of all the Safeways around, I have found this one to be the best. The lines may suck, but its still the best. I have had less issues with produce here and I always am able to find what I need. The deli guys are awesome and I love picking their brains about new options.

One of the better Safeways. The store is pretty big. It has pretty much everything you need. The one thing that makes this Safeway stand out from other ones is that food court has an area where they make a salad for you. The price is very good and it is very delicious.

I happen to like this Safeway. Its one of the largest Safeways Ive ever seen and because of that, has a great selection. Havent had any problems with incorrect pricing. Their prices are decent, especially when you load virtual coupons from their website.

Im not sure why, but the parking lot is almost always full, but the store is never crowded. Good selection of grass-fed beef and organic foods. Plus, they have a rather varied wine selection (but youll be hard-pressed to find any non-Californian wines).

This is a pretty good Safeway as far as grocery stores go. Their bakery section is very good, lots of selection. This Safeway also has a Chinese food take out, which is pretty cool. My one problem with this location is the parking is always crowded.

Overall a good store, but since Albertsons purchased the company, some of the newer staff really could care less about your experience in the store. Aside from that, the inventory is good with many high-end and affordable brands to choose from.

Because the prefer to have everyone checkout by a scanner and not a real person. I hope management realizes eventually robots will replace them as well. Im more upset the robot scanners take forever. Defeats the quick checkout

Hey safeway , so its my second time buying a cake and the second time were they do not want to write on it and I dont understand why , I like safeway but theyve been disappointing me lately not sure if Ill go back. Thanks.

They sell high quality food and offer good savings programs. But youll have to deal with their narrow and busy isles. The parking lot is crazy, and its a popular spot for the homeless and other shady characters.

Sometimes the layout is less than intuitive but overall its a great store with a wonderful prepared foods section, good variety of products, and always clean. Plus the Wells Fargo up front is very convenient.

Generally overpriced. Especially surprised that a California Safeway located in a vegetable growing region had the same selection - and high prices - as Safeways in other areas. No local accent at all.

Plenty of parking. Staff was friendly. Store was clean and easy to move around in. The Starbucks coffee place only had one employee so it was a bit slow but the quality was just as good as any other.
