If you want rude and super slow service, cocky and argumentative auto center mgrs (Freddie and Joe), and want to be sold things you dont need, this is your place. Where to even begin? My uncle was a sears auto center mgr for 20 years, and he cant believe the difficulty weve had. While i was in Albuquerque visiting him and my aunt, I got new tires at the auto center there. The very next day as I was driving home to CA I noticed it was pulling to the left. I called my uncle and he said it was radial pull and to take it to a sears by my house to get the front tires replaced cuz its under warranty. I gave Sears auto center in costa mesa my keys and they were going to call me when it was done, but THREE hours later, when I finally called them, they said "oh yeah, its done." Thanks for the notice. They then told me I needed an alignment (I just got one a few weeks before) and I needed new struts. I told them it was radial pull, and they said I would have to BUY new tires (even though theyre under warranty) because they couldnt get the tires I had. To make a REALLY REALLY long story short, we had to get TWO different district mgrs involved, and file a formal complaint to Sears TWICE; and after upteen phone calls to Sears in CM from my uncle, when my boyfriend took it FOUR weeks later to get the tires put on they were even rude to HIM. The tires were the problem, because once they put them on, the pulling went away. And shocker, they never wiped down the tires when they were done. They were greasy and had fingerprints all over them. Bad, bad, bad. My uncle said hed never seen a sears auto center store that was so incompetent and rude. Save yourself! If you have to go to Sears, make sure its NOT this one.

The worst online ordering experience ever. I ordered products online from target, walmart, kohls, etc, but the experience here is the worst. Slow process, bad management. Ordered back in November 24, 16, still didnt get it yet. Received email saying it delivered on Dec 1st, 16, went there to check on December 7th. They dont have it. Wondering where is my product. I went to store twice on Dec 7,16. The first time, I have my email with confirmation of ordering number, tracking number and sales number from Sears, but they said I also need my credit card number, do I have to go back and get my credit card. Went there second time, but this time, they still couldnt find my order, they checked on my tracking number from UPS, and found the product delivered on Dec1,16. Received by someone they dont know. They recommended me to call UPS to find out where the product is. Are you kidding me? I said I have no time for it, so they finally agreed to cancel my order. Hopefully I can get my money back. I normally dont write reviews, but the experience here is so bad, I decided to write it and let the Sears management know that they need to improve their service otherwise they are gonna out of business soon.

Nice people but this brand has become to big and due to that cannot help customers. I have a 2 1/2 year old dishwasher that caught fire. Luckily the breaker was tripped and prevented this unit from creating a large blaze. It still stunk up the house. I have a service agreement; however, due to the service department needing to take their time to evaluate the unit, then there needing to be up to a week for that evaluation to be reviewed for approval, it will be another week on top of the week already without a dishwasher. Then since they are backed up, it could take another 15 to 20 days to get a new dishwasher installed using any credit from the extended warranty. Nice people; however, the organizational matrix is so complicated and bloated, customers cannot be serviced in any manner that is anything other than slow. There are multiple customer service numbers which are overseas call centers etc etc. No person is empowered. I even tried to call the store and it rang off the hook. What I would expect is this: yep it burned up, yep your covered, take this slip to one of our stores and put this towards a new unit.

on 4/3/2016, I was at the south coast plaza Sears (costa mesa, California) to pick up an item I have ordered on line. I saw a counter open at the womans clothing department and I asked her to help me receiving my order. She said shes not the person who ordered it for me and I have to find that person to help me. I then asked her why she cant help me. She then repeatedly saying I yelled at her. I was very confused and I asked for a manager to come and help. While I was waiting, I asked other customers did I yelled at her. One of the customers said she doesnt know why she says that but thats how she feels. I then waited about 40 minutes until a manager finally came. She (the manager) was very nice and helped me in every aspect. My questions are: (1) does a clerk have the privilege to choose whoever she/he wants to serve? (2) how long should a customer wait until a manager shows up to help? Also, some of the items in this store is not well supplied. I went to that store 4 times previously to search for the item I wanted to buy but eventually I have to order it on-line.

This store has the worst management among the Orange County stores, the training of the associates seems to be poor, as a handful of the associates I have dealt with at various times and even years, most seem to have poor or sub-standard attitudes. I would even suggest that they are lazy, unmotivated, deflective and unwilling to help, and this testimony is based upon various (numerous) occasions. I dont believe it comes directly from the employees alone, it has to be the management. Other than that, this store (South Coast Plaza) is very large, fairly clean, has a great selection, and good quality products, and good prices. I personally want SEARS to "survive", and become more successful, but the employees at this store are lacking skill, courtesy, professionalism, knowledge about their own systems, and they have a general bad attitude. I refuse to shop there unless I have to, and have chosen to shop SEARS of Orange instead.

Sears and Kmart is a dying chain and I dont think theyll last much longer. As much as I would like for Sears to stay around, you can see the sad state of affairs when you walk in. It boggles me why they would renovate the first floor entry as a fitness area. The whole set up is awkward and doesnt make people really want to come in. I mean who comes to a mall thinking theyre gonna buy a treadmill or a stairmaster? All that space couldve been used for some other items and the money couldve been used to update the displays or flooring. I think Forever 21 next door gets more foot traffic. Even though the store doesnt get much customers, I still shop here for good deals. Their shopyourway rewards has some decent coupons and I can find some nice clothes and random items I need. I wish they would turn off the annoying voice warning in the escalators.
