Sears Parts and Repair Centers (#7808) at Sunrise Mall. - Open Sundays, had EXACTLY what I needed. This place rocks. I felt like I was in a time warp back to the 1970s but in a good way (without greasy long haired people or gasoline shortages)...a major National store with an appliance parts and service center? Whoooa! I though these had all gone the way of full service gas stations and drive in movies (yes I do actually know where some of both still are in the Sacramento area). Anyway, the fact that they are open until 2PM on Sundays is also a huge benefit. If you are a DIY person, you work during the week, sleuth the repair in what little time you have on Saturday and then try to find a part on Sunday. Thanks Sears for keeping this place open and reminding me of great service standards that used to be everywhere in our country. ...Re: Pats review below: Pat, its an "Online-Internet Shopping, UPS/Fed-Ex Shipping" world these days. Speaking to a knowledgeable salesperson via telephone who is actually in the U.S. is a hopeless pursuit, my friend. I thought finding a brick and mortar parts store locally that is open on Sundays was hopeless too, but that fact alone in todays economy makes these guys still A1 in my book. However, I give em about another year or so to keep their doors open with the Barack-enomics future looming over the heads of corporate America. ----update 2/2/13. Well, I called it. As of today, they are no longer open on Sundays. They still have what I need, but I might as well get used to ordering online. I know a bricks and mortar parts center no longer being open on Sundays is hardly the sign of the oncoming apocalypses, but it is a sign of our declining economy. Thanks Mr. President!

Ordered a Part for Pickup Today... phone is in a loop... I call the store, it sends me to the Website group, who tell me to call the store, I call the store, and it goes into one big loop. No Pickup email 8 hours later... called the "manager", get a recording with another number... its been ringing now for 10 minutes... no pickup... Needed a part today, was willing to pay extra for it... should have just gone to Amazon... Finally got someone online who tells me the part is a special order, will be here in a few weeks and cant be cancelled... Will be disputing with Bank now...

Spent 35 minutes on the phone trying to order a simple part. I was placed on hold multiple times. I had to repeat my address three times to the woman I spoke too. Then she told me my address was too long for her system and placed me on hold again to speak with her manager. Then hung up! She did call back, only to tell me she could not order the part because her system would not let her process my credit card unless she manually swiped it. Bottom line - I wasted 35 minutes on the phone for a part that I didnt even get ordered. Absolutely horrible customer service.

I need a part for my broken washing machine. The clerk looked it up in the inventory system and said the part is in stock. She looked briefly in the back and came back to tell me that its probably deep in the back warehouse but she cant get it because she is the only attendant on duty. So zero customer service. I am trying to purchase a part that is in stock but they cant go find it for me while people are in the store. Is this a sick joke? Why keep parts in the back if the attendant cant access them? Thanks Sears...

I got so frustrated trying to get to a human being to help me that I lost all motivation to deal with Sears. I work hard enough earning my money, I refuse to work this hard to give it to them. When I tried to save this message it said I had to enter something in the Rating area. That is the only reason I gave them even one star.

Sears has the worst customer service I have ever come across. I would never purchase another item from them again. I bought a brand new riding mower. Used it one time over 2 months ago and they still have not came back to fix it.
