My older bro and his fiance had to give me my Christmas gift early this year since theyll be heading back east for the holidays. They got me a jacket from the True Religion store in the Carlsbad Outlets. Nice gift...if you like that kind of stuff with with upside down horseshoes or brands that splatter their name over everything. This jacket was OK since it only had one of their little gay horseshoes printed on the chest. But, in true True Religion fashion, their sizes run small. They got me a large. I wear large in everything, so they thought I would be an obvious large in this too. False...the jacket was like a mid drift. Maybe it was a large in childrens. Anyways, they paid $100 for it. I tried to exchange the jacket for the same one in a different size. Nope...no exchanges or returns. Its not like I even wanted a refund...just exchange it for the same jacket in a different size. True Religion would have lost no money...they would have just gained a happy customer. My bro and his fiance are big True Religion fans...neither them or anyone else in my family will shop there again. I mean...a clothing store that doesnt allow exchanges...especially gift exchanges. I heard this was a new store for them. I cant imagine it will be around much longer with those types of policies in an economic climate like this, where every retailer needs to do what they can to gain some new customers.

PARKING SUCKS! If you are coming here on a weekend, prepare to fight for parking. I lived in Cardiff by the Sea which is maybe 15 minutes away. I have been here about 8 times within 1 1/2 years. If you come on a weekday, you will have no problem finding parking. If you are one of those people who get frustrated when you cant find parking, dont come. Other than that, the outlet is very clean and has good stores. Whenever I go into any of the stores, its organized. I cant say the same thing about Las Americas Premium Outlets in San Ysidro. Their stores look trashed like a burglar ram sacked the place! But not so at Carlsbad Premium Outlets. The prices are okay, but not great. I recommend going during one of the popular holidays or after Christmas when there are many returns. After you are done shopping, I recommend you take Pacific Coast Highway on your ride home. Its very close to the outlets.

Parking takes at least 45 mins on Sat and Sun. 30 mins if ur lucky. Management of this place knew the parking problems for many years and has not done anything. Now people have encroached lots across and adjacent to it that dont belong to the outlets. There goes ur savings--$ for gas and emissions. Who knows how many more parked at Costco. Lots belonging to other establishments around this outlet should now seriously implement towing or make money for parking. Seriously if youa re saying there are great bargains here then youve never been to San Ysidro, Cabazon or Citadel outlets. (I know because I live close to Palomar Rd and we shop in all four outlets at least a month) Save urself the hassle--the Las Americas in San Ysidro, and the Cabazon outlets are bigger, more shops, and more parking spaces.

This outlet mall has a good cross-section of stores, some that are very unusual, like Barneys and Kipling. The new Nike outlet is a welcome addition, so now people in North County dont have to drive down to Las Americas at the border. There are the usual popular outlets like Gap, Lucky Brand, Tommy Hilfiger, etc. The smaller outlet stores tend to go out, like the now-gone Harry & David. If you are planning on a trip there, you should check online for the current listing of stores. This outlet mall also has one of the best selections of food for an outlet: Rubys Diner, plus Kings Fish House and PF Changs across the street, and plenty of fast food in the area. Yes, the parking can be a pain. Stalking people for a space is the easiest, and come early if its a holiday weekend, because it will be a zoo.

I like how large selection each shop has. And the price is also good comparing to these outlet malls in Japan. I personally like Calvin Klein, Guess, and COACH mens in here. I will come back and get some more before I go back to Japan.

A nice place to stroll about even if not buying anything. A few places we love here are BASS they have good shoes, great pricing specials. Rubies dinner is hard to beat - hamburgers are likely the best you have tasted in a while. There is a Starbucks here that always is crowded. The Polo shop is loaded with your ubiquitous Polo shirts that are more a classic than quick changing fashion, still expensive so dont think you are getting any deals at this outlook. I notice a lot of languages spoken by patrons here, Japanese, Chinese, Spanish, Russian and who knows what else? Tourist love this outlet mall near the Pacific Ocean.

After the Mad Max premiere last year, the sun-faded Charger bolt sticker plastered cars started to include screams of "Vahalla!" as patrons look for parkings spots in this sea of lost hope and despair. After 25 mins of following that couple you think may be leaving and finally going shopping, your choices here range from the obvious (Gap, Crate and Barrell) to the odd (BBXDFADFDD?). They also added a Wetzel Pretzel booth for mid-mall snacking, although the pretzels come from the anchor store at the other end of the outlet and they frequently run out of pepperoni twists.

I like this mall for Crate and Barrel, Cosmetic Store, Coach and Dooney & Burke. KNOW YOUR PRICES, NO MATTER WHERE YOU GO SHOPPING!! Yes, I have found deals, but in some cases, no deals. I have found good deals at these four stores, but the Lancome store is hit and miss. Barneys is overpriced and not great stuff. BCBG has good deals for the under 40 crowd (yes, I said it, 40 is too old to wear most of their stuff Ladies!) Calvin Klein has had good deals, as well as Adidas. Gap has had some good sales, but I agree that at times the prices have not been great.

Very popular outlet mall. Its part of the "premium outlet" group, so if youre familiar with them, youll have an idea of the types of stores. My favorites are Carters, Brooks Brothers, Le Creuset, Ecco and the soft pretzel store. If youre making a day of it, there are some good casual lunch options which are all conveniently located in the same area. There are also a few full service restaurants across the street. Parking can be challenging during popular times. If you can get there before 11:00 am on week ends, there should be ample parking available.

This is a great shopping facility. There are lots of good options from walk up places to sit down meals. There is always a good sale here so it is worth visiting to get nice stuff for less! The restrooms are clean and all over and the security are friendly if you need help finding something. While there is lots of parking here, since it is so popular it can take a while to find a spot. You should also make sure to visit the information and visitor center located in the middle because they will give you coupons and print out discounts for stores for you!
