tl;dr - Good as far as run of the mill donut shops go, but Im not going to take friends from out of town to it. I woke up with craving for donuts. Growing up in the suburbs of SoCal it was easy to find a donut shop. I realized since moving to Berkeley I hadnt seen many. After reading how people talked about Dream Fluff I assumed it must be something unique, something like Voodoo Donuts (I didnt look at the pictures beforehand) . So imagine my surprise when I walk in and it was......a donut shop. Like the ones Ive seen a million times before. I grabbed a chocolate bar and a glazed french cruller. The store might be like any other donut shop Ive been to but the donuts were not. Im used to really light donuts with a crispy, greasy outside but relatively little on the inside. These donuts were much denser and while still greasy they didnt have that cheap fried food crispiness to them. Typically I could eat 3-4 chocolate bars before feeling regret (but still happy) about my decision to eat junk food at 8am. After eating the chocolate bar I had hit that happy regret. Shortly after I proceeded to eat the french cruller.

Yo dem biscuits are soft boo boo. Keep it up. Somedays when Im feeling a little down I like to head over to dream fluff to try and cheer up. It works everytime.. I order the bacon cheese biscuit, an orange soda, and like 8 2dollar lotto scratchers. Then I sit in my sisters Jetta and put on a special best of R.Kelly playlist that I made in da iTunes and just drift my cares away. Those biscuits are soft like love clouds. Sometimes I get so carried away listening to that part where kells lets it rip like "Boo Hoo Tee.. Boo Hoo Tee." and I just tear into that biscuit.. I dont even realize I go back into work with cheese all over my face. Keep em soft. 1love

I am so glad I dont stay close to them or Id be 300+ lbs. Those people serve some of the best donuts around. They are not gigantic and tasteless. They are med size, fluffy textured and iced just right. Other places serve donuts that you can roll down a bowling lane and get a strike because they are so heavy doughed. Anyway, keep up the good business Dream Fluff and Ill be sure to stop by as soon as possible.

Best donut shop in town! How long this shop has been around is astonishing. Service is amazing and very welcoming. Wide range of delicious donuts. From bite sized donut holes to giant apple fritters! The menu has very nice selections of breakfast and lunch. Theres a lot of different drink options to satisfy everyone. Dream fluff is a great place to eat and you should definitely try it out!

Tasty morsels and very friendly service. There is nothing like walking into a place that actually bakes their inventory on the spot. If you are looking for a custard filled donut, but dont see any in the case ~ guess what, theyll fill one/two/ten! up for you right then and there. Now..... If only they stayed open later for those not-so-convenient 10pmish cravings, ;3

One would think that racism wouldnt be an issue in this day and age in California but it is definitely alive and well at this shop. The obvious turnoff was evident as soon as my sons and I entered this establishment. The service was off putting and I can say with all seriousness that I would never return to this shop.Wasngreat

I work in the area and love this place for its donuts and breakfast sandwiches...also the cheeseburger they make tastes like a mix between fast food and homemade--which is exactly what I want in a cheeseburger a lot of the time. Very nice people too.

Been here forever. Had my first donut here 40+ years ago. Hasnt changed much. Thats a good thing. Classic donuts. Well crafted. Low key environment. Oozes history and humble neighborhood charm.

Ive had better.... Golden Gate Donuts a couple of miles down Telegraph beat them hands down. Regardless, I still treat myself to a dreamfluff ring,.. if I cannot make it to Golden Gate.

The donuts were delicious, and the service was great! The lady was super nice. Dream fluff is in a great location right next to College Ave., so you can stop by amidst your shopping!

Everything is tasty here, but the maple french cruler is the delicious dream fluff this place is named after (my opinion)! I also recommend the breakfast sandwiches.
