Utopia Tattoo and Body piercing Shop here in Auburn has got to be one of the best around in Northern California. The shop is very welcoming, organized, and professional in all manners. All artist have exceptional traits and qualities and want to have every customer walk out even more stoked than they were walking in. The shop has 3 main Artist who can touch all areas in the field with greatness. They also have special guest artist quite frequently and all of these new faces who pop in also are just spectacular artist. You may walk in the shop with no background of this establishment and think its like many other tattoo shops around and figure "oh I can go get a tattoo I want for a nice cheap price". Well id say your wrong because the quality of the tattoos that these artist create are so clean, and genuine. The money you put into your tattoo/piercing here at this shop; in return you are bound to get the best emotions personally and reactions from others on how great that tattoo or piercing looks. Now personally I only have work done from one artist (a 3/4 sleeve), but ive been around the shop enough to see the other artist work and I want to eventually get work done from them as well becuase they all do exceptional work. So if your looking to come to a shop that has an awesome vibe, and quality artist who truly know what they are doing then go check out Utopia Tattoo in Downtown Auburn.

Lets face it, most tattoo "shops" are about as inviting as a Tijuana dentists office, but these guys got it right. When you first walk up, you see a big open window into their art studio. Not a bunch of random crap - but a look right into where they do all the really phenomenal art that they are capable of. Then, of course, you go inside, and the place is clean, inviting and warm - its not all dark and intentionally craptastic like a lot of places. Honestly, a person could easily mistake this for an advertising firm or something until they see the awesome tattoo chairs (trust me, you have to see them to understand how BA they are). Anyway, rambling aside, the people here are talented and friendly, the place is clean as a whistle and a really great place to get work done or even to just come in and hang out for a bit. Worth the drive from out of town, without question.

I have been going to Joey at Utopia Tattoo for my arm sleeve and each and every step he does is simply amazing work. He actually draws the tattoo by his own imagination on my arm and tattoos. The colors and design hes chosen all the way through have been incredible!!! Hes very professional and very reasonable in my opinion. Some days I have been in and hes a little short staffed as in by himself and had people pouring in for quotes and piercings he would politely tell me sorry and ask if I mind he answered there questions.He would answer there questions to the fullest. He truly cares about his work and takes a lot of pride in it and wants his customers to be just as pleased:) Im so thankful I finally found an awesome shop!! Thanks Joey for what I think is the raddest tattoo ever!!!!!

Do not get tattooed by brandon. He was supposted draw me a quater sleeve drawing that is supposed for be a 600 or 700 dollar piece. Of what i asked for and gives me a 10 min sketch that doesnt even fit the area with zero shading and was a basic outline. I asked him to redraw bc i was leaving town. He redrew it and i still didnt like it. When i come into the shop he raised his voice and began cussing at me. I do not recommend this shop because of bad business practices and treating people poorly. I have over 30 tattoos and have never been treated like this.. good luck

Joey is so knowledgable on all things piercings! He was able to answer all of my questions and give me information on my piercings+jewelry that I have never before gotten with any other piercer I have gone to. Extremely clean shop! Great prices for how amazing their jewelry is, seems a little steep at first but totally worth it when you see how quickly your piercings heal when he does them vs anyone else. Very very happy with how my piercings have turned out❤️ This is my #1 shop to go to from now on.

I love coming in this shop. I got my first two tattoos here and am really pleased with both. The artists were super helpful and created exactly what i wanted and added in their own art that really made it unique. I get complements all the time on the two tattoos. The shop has a really nice feel to it with pictures and examples of thier art all over. Each artist has their own style that shows in their artwork

Joey provided a clean environment and piercing technique, and was knowledgeable about the different jewelry materials. Additionally, the piercing skills were executed with precision and expertise. (My daughter reported she was never in pain or experienced discomfort). The aftercare instructions were very clear. DO NOT GET PIERCINGS HERE. Got a piercing and they wouldnt let me put it where I wanted and its way too low. They were soo rude. Going to get it fixed by a different company.
