I was stranded near this shop with a flat but without a tube or pump or tools (I know, Im stupid). I rolled my bike into the shop and waited for the owner to finish a phone call. It was taking a while so I flipped my bike over, pulled off the wheel and pulled the tube out and continued to wait. When the owner finished his call I asked for a tube and asked how much a new tire would cost ($29). He got the tube and said "You cant work on your bike in here, my insurance wont allow it". Fair enough, I had sort of taken liberties by pulling the wheel off inside - but I was really just trying the pass the time while he was on the phone. I asked if he would let me borrow a pump. He said "We dont have a pump". I was incredulous, but just said "thank you" and gave him back the tube and left. The guy had no obligation to help me out, and maybe he thought I was disrespectful for flipping my bike over on his floor, but there was lots of space and no customers and he spent quite a long time on the phone. I feel confident that if the same situation had gone down at any of my local shops, they would have probably volunteered to swap out the tube for me or at the very least, to fill it with air once I had put the tube in myself. Apart from that, not a huge selection of bikes or parts, and most of the parts are behind a counter. I definitely wont be going back, especially not in an emergency.

alot of bad reviews for this place but I would have to say from personal expierence that this place is the best place to take your bike to get repaired. The guys here dont like to bs with people a whole lot but every time I have taken my bike there it comes out perfect. Anyone that needs to get those old schwinn wheels fixed take them to the old man here. I took him some old schwinn rims i needed straightened out and he got it done right. I have been to other shops that said they could fix these and they didnt get it done. for those who dont know these rims are super hard to straighten out. I have also taken my mountain bike there many times to get fixed and they always leave it dialed in. The turn around time is not bad. I have been to other shops that will ask me to wait 3-5 days on a repair sometimes. The usual turn around time here is like 1 day- however one time a part needed to be ordered and it took like 4 days but it was no rush for me anyways and again my bike came out perfect. sorry to everyone else who didnt like this shop but you should deffinetly give them a shot. these guys know what there doing. The specialty here is for anyone trying to build a real nice beach cruiser. Come to this store

Terrible Service and very rude lying manager. Before i walked into the store, i called to ask how much lacing a wheel would cost. I gave him a description of my wheel which was 700c (for road bikes), then he gave me a price and I was ok with it. A week later i went to the shop, he almost doubled the price of labor. When i told him he gave me a different price on the phone, he told me it was for bmx bikes only. But when we talked on the phone, i described what kind of wheel i had. When i mentioned that, he rudely walked away from me. My brother had a bad experience with them too, when he called to ask how much they would charge to put his bike together (he bought everything separate), they told him that if he didnt buy his parts there, they werent going to do anything for him, they also said he couldnt be calling in and wasting their time like that then hung up on my brother. I dont recommend going to this bike shop, i know I wont ever go there again.

Avoid the short fat guy likes to criticize my bikes design and its components more than help out. Telling me my bike has cheap dual disk brakes along with a bad suspension setup and wouldnt even bother trying to replace my rear brake cable even though it needed changing he said the whole rear disk brake setup needed to be replaced for 100 to 200 dollars when my bike alone is only 2 months old. And another time I was in there with a different bike with a bad fork he said it would cost 200 dollars to replace when the bike alone was worth 200...the guys a F*ken D!!! Ive been here a few times already, Only time I got good service was one time from some older mexican eager to help out. After 3 times Im done, taking my business elsewhere regardless if its further...And just for the record my Mongoose Xr-Comp is not cheap. ***UPDATE*** Went to bike shop in old town plaza square in orange got my proplems fixed for 30 bucks basically a tune up.

Id pretty much have to agree this place is a ripoff. I took my bike to have the front breaks adjusted and asked how much that would be for basically what is a 2:30 second job. I thought well, $5 was what it should be. But the guy said $10, huh? Yeah we charge $10 for any minor adjustments. Look I know this is their livelihood but adjusting breaks isnt rocket science or brain surgery. So even if we round that off to say 2 minutes @ making $10 for 2 minutes of work comes out to $300 an hour! I said, sorry. I had tried to adjust them myself but didnt have any luck but I think Ill go home and search the Internet for some guidance. And boy was I glad I did! Found a YouTube video by an obvious expert with expert step by step instructions. Breaks adjusted for free. My advice. Always search the Internet especially when it comes to something like bike repairs.

I got a flat so i decided to try this place. I brought my own tube i wasnt sure if they would have any but they did so now i know. The shop is fairly large. I gave them my wheel and tube and the guy fixed it really fast I was impressed. He seemed pretty nice too. Overall i was in and out in 5min. I will go back for another repair, but hopefully i wont have another flat for a while. I dont see what people are complaining about. I read alot of complaints for this place but i have none. I wish when people review a place they wouldnt take shots at people rotten teeth that has nothing to do with what you were there for! Stick to the facts.

I bought an eZip bike (electric bike, it has a motor but otherwise is a regular bike) and I went in to ask, just ask, if they could take a look at the pedals because one was loose. I told the guy at the counter about the problem and he said that they wouldnt do anything with the bike because their insurance doesnt cover motorized bikes. I said all I needed was the pedals looked at. At this point the guy literally walked away from me, turned his back to me, and said their insurance doesnt cover it. They loose out on servicing my other three regular bikes. I wouldnt go there again.
