Jin C. came here for dessert after grabbing dinner in the area. Since Salju Dessert is in a plaza, they are a good number of parking spaces available, although they do fill up quick. We got lucky and managed to score a parking spot right in front of Salju. There are a very limited amount of tables and seats inside, with some high tables and some low. The front side of their menu is dedicated to their most popular item: Snow Ice! When you order, you choose a size, a flavour, a syrup (optional), and toppings. The small comes with 2 toppings, the medium comes with 3 toppings... any additional toppings will be $1/each. We got a Medium Honeydew Snow Ice, with Condensed Milk, Strawberry, Egg Pudding, and Mochi. The size was great for the two of us to share. I really liked the honeydew flavour; if you are familiar with the Korean popsicle Melona, it pretty much tastes exactly the same. I absolutely love condensed milk and I was sad that they did not pour very much of it on the snow ice :( As for the toppings, the strawberry and mochi were fine. Neither of us liked the egg pudding, especially since it just came as a large lump and was hard to break up into pieces with the plastic spoon. Apart from the egg pudding and the small amount of condensed milk, our snow ice was good. It was not life-changing-amazing, but I enjoyed it and would not mind coming back here again. But since there are other snow ice places I enjoy as well, I would not go out of my way to come here. Looking at other reviews, perhaps next time I should try their crepes... 3.5 stars but rounded down for this review.

Shaved snow heaven! Salju is my all time favorite place for shaved snow in SGV. In terms of quality, price, and service I feel like Salju has it all. You are allowed to sample any of the flavors listed on their menu. My favorites are the almond, Thai tea, and green tea matcha flavors. Ive tried the fruity flavors and they didnt really stand out to me. They only have two sizes of shaved snow. The small is $3.95 and you can chose two toppings, the medium is $5.50 and you can choose three toppings. With a group of 4 I will usually get two mediums which I think is plenty to share. After choosing the size, you then choose your flavor of shaved snow, then the syrup, and finally the toppings. I love that they have over 30 different types of toppings available and if you add additional toppings it is only $1 extra. This place usually gets crowded at nights and weekends but I usually never have too much trouble finding seats since people eat and leave pretty quickly. Tip* You can get unlimited complimentary condensed milk! Just look for the bottle sitting around on the tables!

The good: Salju is better shaved snow than anything available to those of us living in SF. The (well, not THAT) bad: There are so many shaved snow places in SoCal that you have to do a pretty standup job to differentiate yourself. That, or just be conveniently located somewhere that doesnt have nearby alternatives because we all know how much everyone hates driving in SoCal. My friend and I ended up sharing their Vietnamese coffee shaved snow with egg pudding and coffee jelly as toppings. And, while they were all enjoyable (the toppings in particular were quite tasty), overall, there was nothing to rave about. My personal favorite for shaved snow is still the plain and simple mango shaved snow over at Class 304, but, hey, if Im in the area, Id come again. ***Accessibility Info*** Venue - If I recall correctly, there are a few high tops near the front, but most of the seating inside Salju is typical table seating, albeit a tad limited. Bathroom - Accessible, though getting to the restroom itself required just a little bit of maneuvering around some obstacles.

Great place to fulfill that shaved snow craving! I always get the Matcha green tea with condensed milk, strawberries & mochi! The texture of the shaved snow is soft and fluffy, and the flavor is perfect. Great option for dessert! And I like how you can get individual sizes/portions and customize it however you want. They also have boba and crepes too. And this place is not ideal for large groups, and they have about 5-6 tables. As for parking, they have a small parking lot.. but you can easily find parking in the residential area nearby too.

Salju Dessert is one of the better places in the SGV with better tasting shaved snow. Some of the other places just dont do as good as a job. Its kind of pricey for what it is but its worth the visit. Usually the large size is fulfilling. When I get the smaller one it makes me want to order another one. Their variety of toppings are good. The condensed milk is awesome, cant get enough of that.

When I cant get my ice cream fix, shaved snow is the next best thing (maybe even the better option). There are a variety of flavors to choose from, but my favorite is almond - sweet and aromatic. I like to top this snow off with drizzles of condensed milk, freshly cut strawberries, and egg pudding. This spot also has bottomless condensed milk offered at the end of the counter!

Salju has an extremely good cashier who handled me and my wife in our 1st visit today. She was taking care of us from her heart and understood our need. The price is moderate. The taste and quality of ice are real good. My sons love the Strawberry Salju and my wife likes the Green Tea Salju. They have free wifi and Handicap Accessible seat.

Salju is one of the better practitioners of Asian snow desserts. There are many choices of free toppings as well as several squeeze bottles of sweetened condensed milk to customize your order just how you like it.

Best shaved snow around. Better than ice, snow is much fluffier and melts in your mouth. You dont feel the crystals of ice like shaved ice. Tons of syrups, flavors, and toppings.

The icecream was good, so many options. Downside, I was uncomfortable, felt like they were watching us all the time.
