Ive been an avid fan of Blockheads since the first location opened up in the Sawtelle area. When I saw that there was a blockheads when I was in Alhambra, of course I had to try it. In comparing the 2 locations, I think this place is much better. There are more flavor options compared to the usual 4 at the Sawtelle location. Also, they give more when it comes to toppings and condensed milk. The texture of the shaved ice is the same as the Sawtelle location. This location is bigger and isnt as cramped or crowded as the other one. The only downside to this Blockheads is that the signs on how to order are a little more difficult to understand if you didnt already know.

I think Ive reviewed Blockheads in Sawtelle before. This location is slightly bigger with pretty much the exact same things. I like the snow and the toppings but I noticed some significant differences between here and the Sawtelle location. The workers appeared less happy. The prices are slightly higher (75 cents for a topping versus 60 cents, slightly higher base prices on a snow) I wish the Oreos were crumbled more, Id prefer finely broken Oreos so it spreads better into the snow. I guess this area is just more expensive than the other but my overall experience here was worse. The snow is still good though!

Great place for Taiwanese shaved ice with huge portions and tons of topping choices. Love their seasonal cantaloupe ice and the rice cake topping. Kind of expensive compared to regular ice cream but well worth the cost. Wish I was in LA longer to try more of their desserts.

Bigger portions than the one on Sawtelle. More flavors. Plenty of parking in the parking garage behind the store. What else can you ask for? You even get a free topping with your Yelp check-in! Run over to Blockheads!

Scary easy to eat, snowflake ice is. The original with mango will always be my favorite, but Blockheads strawberry tastes almost like Hagen Daaz ice cream and is a group favorite.

Good shaved ice! Variety of Asian toppings like mochi and Western ones like chocolate chips, and fruits like lychee, mango and strawberry. Flavors of ice and drizzle as well.

I didnt really like it as the price is too expensive for the taste. The service is just fast enough but its kinda confusing

Pretty good quality shaved ice where the flavor is in the ice versus poured over. Too bad they dont have mango flavor.
