Ive only been twice, the service was mediocre (at best) both times. During the most recent visit (just last night), we had to request everything at least twice before we actually got it - drink refills included (shouldnt have to ask for those...it was just tea and water!). It was obnoxious, especially considering the price of the meal. The food was okay: Sauteed mushrooms were good, the cajun shrimp were good (sauce was tastey with the rolls), and the spinach & artichoke dip disappeared quickly. The steaks were pretty good, but my rare turned out more like a medium-well, and had apparently been sitting for a while since it and my baked potato were pretty cool upon arriving at the table. Food and Service should have been much better quality for the prices that they charge. After those two poor visits, Ill go just about anywhere else for a steak before returning to The Butcher Shop.

My husband and I had a wonderful dinner on Saturday night. Both my husbands steak and my crab cakes were delicious. Our server Joe, was fabulous. He was very pleasant, he told us all the specials and gave us time to decide. Then he took our order in a timely manner. Being new to the area, we asked him questions about different places around and he wrote the information down and brought It to us. He made sure our drinks and food was to our liking. He told us about the desserts, which we both had the chocolate creme brûlée, which was delicious. Joe checked on us every so often to make sure we were enjoying everything but didnt over do it. He is a great server and we will be stopping back in to see Joe and to enjoy the delicious food. Oh, the atmosphere is very pretty yet very welcoming. Nice artwork in the walls too. Thanks for the great service Joe and for a great dinner out.

Every time I visit, I find myself a little bit closer to god. I dont think Ive ever had a better steak, anywhere. If youre a well-done kind of person, do yourself the highest of favors and ask your server to have it cooked just ONE step down at a medium-well with no pink, and keep it in the back of your mind that you can always have it cooked a bit longer if its not to your liking. I, too, once had my steaks cooked to a point so far beyond pink that it left the surface charred as though the cow had been raised on Planet Mercury. These steaks arent your local steaknbuffet sirloins, so do yourself a solid and have it cooked to a nice medium rare and remember that you were put on this planet for a reason, and that reason is to experience amazing food. Youre a goddamn adult now, so start eating your steaks like one.

My first experience with The Butcher Shop was very subpar. For one the customer service was downright disgraceful for the prices you pay. Secondly, steaks are extremely fatty had to cut a large portion of steak away because it was simply fat. Thirdly, Ive been cooking steaks for years so I know my steak and I was brought a medium rare steak even though I asked for medium. After explaining this to my waiter he told me he would just take my steak off my plate and heat it up on grill lol...wth like who does that?..so unsanitary. You pay 80 90 dollars on ticket of two you would expect service to be top teir or atleast decent..no refill of drinks like my throat is still dry shaking my head... would not come back again. Would not recommend.

My husband and I visited the Butcher Shop last night and we were not overly impressed. We were seated promptly and were admiring the decor while waiting for our waitress. She appeared after several minutes and was pleasant enough. After ordering and appetizer and the main course, we were pretty much ignored. Our salad arrives after 17 minutes and then our main course. We never received our appetizer and we informed her of this oversight. We decided to cancel the appetizer and continue with the meal. He ordered a T-Bone and I ordered the Sirloin. His T-Bone was very tough and chewy. My Sirloin was cooked to my specifications. We will give them another try later on, however, not anytime soon.

I was quickly seated, then waited a few minutes and a waiter offering to grab me a drink came by. I ordered a diet coke and he mentioned my waiter was a little busy. I patiently waited 20 minutes for my waiter but nothing so I stood up and went to the host and informed him that Id like to pay for my drink and go elsewhere. He promptly found my waiter who told me I could just go. No apology, no explanation. So I left and now Im heading to Texas Roadhouse. I usually try and avoid the National chains because I like to see what the more local places have. I should have trusted the negative reviews from several customers as this seems to be a common theme.

We got seated by the host with a quickness. We had the baby with us. The host did not offer us a high chair. We are not high maintenance people when it comes to ordering food but we did not get a chance to get to order drinks. The waitress said she would be with is in a sec.. I thought she was going to drop off the food at another table then come and get our drink ordrer but she just walked off.. that was the last straw. We left.

First visit. We were not impressed. The chain that sells those "bloomin" things serves a higher quality steak, cooked correctly. The servers were flying around and it showed in the incorrect order. It wasnt bad, just not worth the prices and certainly not what I would call a special occasion choice. Any other time I would have spoken up, but when the simple things are done wrong, you just move on.

We celebrated my daughters college graduation there on Saturday 5-14-16. Everything was wonderful! Everyones food was cooked properly and arrived on time. Our server, Layne, did a fantastic job! My table of 14 people never had to wait on anything, plus I noticed that he was taking care of least 3-4 other tables too. Thank you Layne, and the Butcher Shop for a wonderful evening!

This was the best steak I have eaten. The waiter was awesome! I cant remember his name but he graduating from NC State graduate school and he was super nice. I was having a bad day and traveling on a long road trip. The Butcher Shop went out of their way to make my bad day better. Aside from the superb service, the food was better than any steak house I have ever been too!

We were a party of eight. Most of our meals were good, those who ordered steaks had to send them back to be cooked as ordered. Our waiter left a lot to be desired, he was slow and tried to explain away the doneness of the steaks because of the setting sun. We will return because this was the first time to receive this kind of service.

Prime rib steaks were superb but the jumbo shrimp cocktail [6 pieces] appetizer was tough and the sauce severely lacking in Horseradish. Very poor cocktail sauce had almost no taste. Skip the shrimp cocktail. Caesar salad was very good as was the double stuffed potato. Sam Adams draft beer was very good, could have been colder.
