There was a sale for paints "Buy 4 or more get them for .66 cents each." The sign had the brands name and acrylic. I went to the register with my selection of paintst which were all this specific brand and were acrylic, but the lady said it had to be the paints that were priced at .79 cents. Ok no big deal, I go back and make sure all my choices of colors at from the .79 cent rack. Now, back at the register, a male worker unsure of his name (tats on both arms) speaks to me as if Im stupid.. he has the previous paints that I had originally picked out telling me one by one, what color it is and what type of paint it is. He said the sign says its only for the .79 cent paints.. I said "no it doesnt say that on there but ok..." He became cocky and was saying to the cashier if anyone questions it call for me and I will personally walk them back and show them the sign. He then said in a very rude tone, "The sign says sale is for the .79 cent paints, I will show you!" I was so upset that he would speak to a customer in that tone or even treat me this way. It was totally disrespectful. For One, I know what the sign said, I can read. Maybe their signs should be more specific. Two, the customer is always right. Three, even if the customer was wrong, dont be a dick.. chances are the customer will understand but dont treat them like they are stupid. Anyone in customer service, retail, etc should know how to enteract with customers professionally, diffuse negative situations, and leave the customer on a positive note.

Great place to go when youd rather wander around for 40 minutes because three store associates are too busy to show you where something is or give you usable directions. THEN after you only find one of the two things you need (youve walked the aisles Twice where associates "guided" you to and walked the entire store since no help is to be found), you get to wait while a cashier straightens something random up and then is rude to you.

I like this place. So much creativity in one place. I just feel like there shouldnt be a line to check out when you go in there at like 2pm on a Tuesday. The clerk was in charge of answering the phones, researching the collars questions and checking everyone out. Its inefficient and it made the pleasant experience just a bit less pleasant.

They have a large variety of crafting items. However, due to this, it may take a while to find the item you are looking for and it doesnt help that the store is understaffed meaning youll have no one to ask. Register lines were also absurdly long, though the employees there work really hard and the line was speedy.

Get your craft on! This Michaels is conveniently located in the Tempe Marketplace. This means sometimes the parking can be awful on the weekends, but most of the time its not too bad. The store carries almost everything one could want from a craft supply store and they have decent hours and helpful staff.

The cashiers are incredibly rude at this location. Ive been going to several different locations in the East Valley for Christmas items and the other locations have very friendly cashiers. I am perplexed as to why the service is so bad at the Tempe Marketplace.location.

The staff is always friendly and helpful, although you may or may not be able to find someone. I feel like they are understaffed at this location. Anyhow, they have a wide variety to choose from in any crafting category, quick lines, friendly people.

The bathrooms are in need of some TLC, its atrocious. They have great seasonal items and sales, even if it takes a few laps around the store to find anything. Could use better organization/more crafting items. Great place for basic crafting needs.

One of the better Michaels locations, it seems to be pretty well-stocked and organized. A little understaffed, but that appears to be true across the board for big craft stores. They sometimes have more items on clearance than other stores.

I love to stop in and impulse shop whatever is on sale. When I need a specific item, I use the coupon online to get 30 -50 percent off the regular price. I could stay in this store all day.
