Went in on Saturday to sell / trade 2 handguns. Was more than happy to accept low offers as I really was not using or in need of them. Told them I was going to just spend the money in their store anyhow. Sold mine to them One Like New the other was clearly used. I then looked through there stock to see what I could buy with the money, narrowed it down to 2 I was interested in. When I asked about them, I was told they are both NEW! So considering they were both new I was willing to pay a little more. I decided to go with the one that cost a little more, which was priced as a new gun. I bought it, took it home and thought I should have gotten a box or some manufacturers paperwork. Figured no big deal, as I started handling the gun a bit more, it just did not feel new, still figured okay well maybe they tested it, whatever. When I got out on the range with it I almost immediately did not like it, I had multiple misfires in the 44 rounds I shot, so when I got home I decided to do some homework, I discovered that the gun they sold me was an older model and many of the common malfunctions such as loads of misfires and a problematic laser that is built on the guns frame was fixed in the new model. Still trusting their word I figured it was new old stock. So they were closed on Sunday and I called them Monday. I asked if there was anyway I could trade the gun for the other less expensive NEW gun they had there, same gun but no laser and new model. They answered they could but only at 70%, up from the normal 50%, so I would have to spend another couple hundred dollars. I expressed my concern about the gun being new but looking used. They then told me it was not new but "looked new". I thought.... thats a little shady, NEW is NEW. Used is Used. I tried to make a few points but I could tell nothing would get through, so I gave up. I had other guns I intended to bring them, much, much, more valuable, as I inherited guns I personally would not use and thought to let them go rather than keep them in my home, as I have young kids and less guns for me is a better, safer choice. I will not take these guns here, but I will venture out into greener pastures. I honestly liked the people and all, and I guess that was their chance to take advantage of me. I really, really think they should have allowed me to exchange the gun for the other less expensive NEW gun. But they had gotten this USED gun off on me at a NEW gun price and I guess that was their chance to take advantage of my trust in their word. I would tell anyone who goes here, DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND DONT RUSH INTO A DECISION BASED ON WHAT THE SALESMAN SAYS!! QUITE FRANKLY YOU PROBABLY SHOULD JUST AVOID IT ALL TOGETHER!

Although this pawn shop has a nice appearance and very nice employees (Andre and Athena) the owner, Mike Cox, is a complete tool!! As we all know, times are tough and people are pawning their possessions to stay afloat. Sadly, I recently had to pawn my only possessions of my late fathers. I initially spoke with Andre and was given a price of $350 for the two pieces; but, I had to think about it since it really was a last resort. Well, I did eventually NEED to pawn the items, but Andre wasnt working that day. Unfortunately, I dealt with Mike who told me hed only give me $300 and wouldnt honor Andres price. WOW $50 wont make or break him, but it will me! So, I found a pawn shop that gave me what I needed. There are those that lend a hand when youre down, and there are those that kick you when youre down; and Mike Cox is the latter. He is GREEDY and God is watching. I certainly wouldnt want to be Mike in the afterlife; and, I would hope others dont do business with such a person either!

I would never do business with this shop. the woman that works there has horrible customer service. Ive liked a few of the guys that work there, but they all keep disappearing. I guess the owner doesnt see a good staff when he has one. Ill be taking my business elsewhere. Im tired of the low ball offers, horrible customer service, and high turn over this place has. not to mention, over priced merchandise. UPDATE: I went in again to see if there was any truth to the statement below... and no, the woman I was referring to, still works there. I guess shes a manager, good luck with that. Now I really wont be returning to this store. As for high turn over... you could say that again. and now youre posting on Facebook looking for people. for anyone looking for a job, I wish you the best of luck. my business here is permanently lost. no sense in going to a place that lies to keep business.

Cant help but think this place is a front for something sketchy. The whole place doesnt make sense. They sell used stuff for a %10 markup of what the price of it new would be. So who exactly is dumb enough to pay more for something that could be defective and has no warranty, and probably no accessories. All of which you wouldnt have to worry about by just purchasing new. And it would be cheaper. Are there still people out there who dont know how to check prices of items. That being said the kid who welcomed me was nice enough, I just dont understand the business model here. I mean, I like perusing pawn shops, I would never actually pawn something because Im not a sucker. But most shops you can find good deals and maybe one or two of the items you find are overpriced due to the shop doing sloppy research, but this place. Six items I checked every one was over cost of new.

Im not sure what happened to this place. Ive been a pretty good customer here for a couple of years now. About 6 months ago or so, the staff was much friendlier and way more knowledgeable. Their prices for the items were also more reasonable and fair. Now..astonishingly unfair and its like the guys that work there always have to go speak to the manager for "info" that anyone would know about the item..But oh yes, they also have trust issues towards the customer. And their terribly picky. Ex: They were going to give me $1 for a Tiffany & Co. necklace because it was silver. I kept it, went to Pawn1st instead and got $50..better than $1! If youre able, take my advice, and go to a pawn shop in Mesa or Gilbert. More gas but 100% a much better choice. Ill never go here again.

I have been in there several times to check out there gun selection (which is not the best). The staff isnt very knowledgeable of fire arms at all, at least the ones I spoke to. There prices are not in the ball park ($250 for a ruger 10/22). And thats fine i can care less how much dust they want that gun to collect. What made me never want to return is that When I told them they sell new for $200 and $250 for special editions like the international stocked 10/22. The man looked at me smiled and said he knows his fare share on guns. OBVIOUSLY I WAS HELPING YOU!! No gun selection and they would love to give to a horrible deal. Buy new you will have a better experience and leave with a better gun and deal.
