Part 2: When I received my receipt from Verizon it included a phone number that was unfamiliar to me. When I called the number, it stated the Verizon number was disconnected. Again, I assumed it was an error on the part of the biller. Weeks later, I received my anticipated bill with a $210 charge for the phone line mentioned on my email receipt. I will contact the Verizon phone center to assure I am not charged for someone elses line. The other person must be surprised no charges were submitted for his line. Today I will call Verizon to request the email for the manager, Hector and will send this message to him for coaching of his associate. A complete disaster from beginning to end. It is only due to the service recovery received at the call center that I am still a customer. Part 1:I never thought I would speak a negative word about Verizon. My experience following this weekend was beyond poor. On a positive side, the wait time was only 20 minutes following what I did not realize was the opening sales day for the iPhone 6. The sales person was also very nice and indicated that this would be the easiest sale of the day after I expressed precisely what I wanted. What followed was 5.5 hours of misquotes, billing mistakes, upselling, and three visits to the store, ending with me walking out of the store with both my original and new phone when the data transfer that did not occur after two visits to the store would require me to return once again. I asked if I can pay the $15 they gave me as a credit for my prior phone so I could keep both to assure the critical data from my phone was captured. I was declined multiple times since the sale was completed and the inventory was required to be complete. Since I was holding both phones I inquired if I would be arrested if I left with both phones? The second salesman said I am not sure how they will bill your account. I have decided to wait for the billing and work with the phone center to resolve any discrepancies. As a further insult, I requested a black phone and white case, and received a white phone and white case. Not worth the bother, however I did mention it to the sales person who had a different recollection. Lastly, when I received the receipts by email, they were for another customers account with a phone number I did not recognize. Oh, and when I took the phone home after the first night and complained that I was unable to access the internet except through my own wi-fi, he told me that "google must be down" since I wasnt experiencing the same problem in the store. After leaving yesterday, once again could not access the internet. Today I contacted the Verizon phone center who quick walked me through the process to add more networks. To assure it was working he encouraged me to take the phone to an area outside my home and test it and that he would call me back in 15 minutes. I drove a few miles down the street, it worked, and when I returned home my phone my Verizon associate was on the phone verifying if the fix indeed worked. He profusely apologized for the experience in the store. THIS is the type of service I have grown to expect from Verizon.

Not the first time iv had issue with in-store purchasing with Verizon but this was the worst.... This place is terrible. i wish that yelp had a negative star chart or perhaps a rating by number of black holes possible because that is exactly where you will find yourself if you ever make the sad mistake of darkening this establishments doorway. i needed a new phone. I did my homework. i knew exactly what i wanted. (HTC DNA) what should have been an in and out purchase turned into a ninety (90) minute debacle of a pushy sales rep trying to up-sell me on every single piece of nick-knacky trash in the store. screen covers i did not want car chargers i did not need, and a radio controlled helicopter. No lie. i kid you not. i came in just for a phone and the guy tried to up-sell me on a radio controlled helicopter. another 45 minutes to an hour the rep spent trying to up-sell me on a data/minute plan i did not want/need. Stating that if i bought more items in store and raised the amount of purchase when i extended my contract he could give me a break on my bill. at this point i told him thanks but no thanks ill buy online and prepared to leave when magically he was able to get my bill fixed and my phone activated in about 5 minutes. nearly ninety minutes later i walk out with my new phone. ***********additional note i did buy a shatter proof case to protect my investment. (another up-sell item) based on the reps pitch of it being "protective and shock resistant and able withstand drop damage." today my phone fell from the waist band of my scrubs and hit the sidewalk STILL INSIDE THE "PROTECTIVE" CASE and shattered. when i took it in for help was told that an insurance claim was my only option. i asked for a manager to discuss at least a refund on the faulty case i was told that there was nothing wrong with it. i explained that the "protective" case wasnt that protective and that it was sold as something it clearly wasnt. ...no dice. my next phone, i will buy online. as every other piece of equipment or accessory i need. Verizon is a good company and their phone and online support is top of the line. In store however its as if they hire the sleezyiest rejected used car salesmen possible to do their bidding and i am done with it. Advice: if you need a new phone order online. Otherwise enter this store at your peril.

I left here crying, and I never cry dealing with customer service issues. Ive been with Verizon for 12 years and have made each payment on time. I was in less than two months ago to get advice on if I should get a Jetpack to use in my new condo for Internet access. I was told it would easily stream Netflix and allow me to upload photos. When I tried to watch Netflix it would end up buffering every few minutes. It took me 24 hours to upload some photos via my desktop. I was told I would pay an extra $30/month for the service + the $30 one time fee for the actual device. After receiving our bill, my mom told me about extra charges tagged on and that I was locked into a two year contract. I went back the next business day (7/7/17) to this same store because I was never told about a contract. I explained that in June I went into the store, a jet pack was placed in front of me, I was told I would pay $30/month, and I signed my signature electronically after paying the $30 payment for the device. I was NEVER told about a two year contract or given any copy/ explanation of the contract for the device that absolutely did not work for me or do as I was told. After talking to two associates and the manager, they refunded me the $40 extra activation fee I was charged on my last bill, and I was stuck with the early termination fee. I will be getting hard copies of contracts from now on. Ive never felt so taken advantage of as a customer, and I cant trust them anymore. Twelve years of being a customer and they couldnt roll that over as a credit on my bill even though they were the ones who neglected to tell me about the contract for the jetpack device.
