I would give this thrift store a 5 stars any other day, but I have to give it 2 stars today. Today as we were checking out a women was about to cut my sister and mom. We have been in this store many times and always stand a few steps back from the cash register/counter in the middle. There was a large white man in front along with the cashier who mumbled something about how there is one line... I was paying already and upset that he was going to let the lady cut.. she was elderly and white. I am only pointing this out because he treated her nicely and was disrespectful towards us. The lady got mad when my sister told her "The line is right here" as she passed by. He said she could stay as she lays her stuff down. He then asked my sister "Are you guys ready?" (He just saw her put her hangers away which they ask you to take off the clothes before getting to the register)My sister came up and my mom let the lady go before her. When my mother came up to the register the large man said in Spanish "This is all?" she was only purchasing one item. I was so mad I just stood there waiting for my mom to pay and gave the man a death stare! His attitude and demeanor is not appreciated! What made me more upset was the fact that he slid or threw the bag towards my mom. My mother did nothing to you to treat her that way! As I was walking out I heard him say to the cashier I believe that I was giving him a smoldering look. Of course I was when you get treated in such a way I cannot take it with a smile. I have to share because this man needs to treat ALL customers the same way which is with RESPECT. Before all of this happened I had a previous encounter with the large man as I was in one of the aisles he was cleaning the top of the racks and he was leaning over in my space and I was like "Do you need me to move?" and I moved. You could say "Excuse me" and I would gladly move over. He already looked like he was in a bad mood when he was doing this. I dont know what his job is at the store..security? I noticed when I left he was carrying a gun.

This is by far the worst thrift store we have ever been to. They do not let you try on clothes at this store, and all sales are final, which makes no sense, you cannot try on anything, and all sales are final, period. They have items in a glass case but there is never someone available to show the items to you, you can stand at the glass case for a half hour or more and not be waited on, or they will show you one item and then you have to wait another half hour to see the next item you want to look at. WARNING WARNING WARNING, they will not let you use the restroom, even if it is an emergency. They take great joy in treating their customers horribly. The last time I shopped here one of the workers grabbed a toy away from a child, the child said that his mother was going to buy the toy for him, the worker told the child to have the mother come and get the toy from him when you are ready to leave because there was no playing with toys in the store, I thought, oh my god, they even treat children badly here. This happened while I was waiting to see an item in the glass case, the worker did not have time to help me , but did have time to make sure that a child could not walk around in the store with a toy, for fear the the child might be playing with it , pathetic people run this place, really sad.

I dont think this store benefits a non-profit. I think its privately owned. Another post said it helps veterans. I doubt that. I think the profits go to an individual. I do not shop here. I do not donate anything to this store. I would rather give my money to a non-profit. So the profits from the thrift store go to help people who are in need. I visited the store in Dec 2016. I asked 3 different employees, "Who does this store benefit?" They had no idea what I was talking about. I said, "With some thrift stores, the money goes to help victims of domestic violence. Or the homeless. Or the disabled. The Salvation Army, their money goes to help people getting off drugs. Goodwill, the money from the store helps people find employment. Where does this money go? Who does it help?" Two clerks and one manager all said, "I dont know." And there isnt a single sign in the store that says its connected to a non-profit. I dont shop there. I dont donate my stuff to them.

This is a very highly rated thrift in Mesa. I agree to some point and disagree some. This store is crowded with stuff. So much so that many of the isles are nearly impossible to get down. Especially when its crowded, which it usually is. The housewares section is messy and disorganized. The prices are high, in my opinion. That being said, they at least do mark things down quite a bit once the item has been there a while. I dont shop clothing, so cant really speak to that part of the store. There are definitely bargains to be found. Just keep in mind that if you cant maneuver well in tight spaces, this might not be the best place to come.

Im an avid thrift store shopper and had high hopes for this place. The parking lot was full and the store was full...always a good sign. The quality of the goods is not very good. There arent any dressing rooms and when I asked, I was told to try the clothes on over what I was wearing (a pair of jeans and loose top). Theres a no return or exchange policy so if you buy that nice dress that doesnt fit then youre stuck with it. The employees werent very helpful and actually looked miserable to be there. I suggest you try Savers or Goodwill. Dont bother with this place.

OK...So I dont think this is non profit but most "non profit" are necessarily either! So with that being said...Unbelievable finds!! So impressed..from Gilbert and have never been.. but daughter, who is very thrifty, turned me on to this location. WOW.. Have never had so much fun..Addicted..New additions every day. Shout out to Jaime who helped me find a vintage chair for nearly nothing...going to restore! Thank you Mesa Thrifty!! Keep up the good work.

I think it is one of the best thrift stores in Mesa besides the Salvation Army in East Mesa Which recently Sad to say CLOSED. The Only thing that they need to change is their policy on an unmarked item..... i want a price on it NOW...... NOT COME back the next day and have to find it again, or may not be there at all. Whats the point?????? Just put a price on it...Whats the big deal!!!!!
