I went to Milan 2 in Willowbrook three months before my daughters prom and bought a 500.00 dress from them. The saleslady seemed very busy and not very knowledgeable. She measured my daughter and said that she was a 2 in this particular dress. She said that they ran small. So we ordered a 2 expecting to possibly have a little bit of alterations if that. I live over an hour away from Milan 2 and upon returning home the store called me to inform me that they still had my credit card. I had to make plans to drive out there again the following day which is again over an hour drive one way. When overlooking my invoice and pulling up the dress online with the order number I then found out that she had ordered the wrong dress! After calling the store and letting them know they said that they would make the change and order the correct dress. The saleslady informed me that the dress would take 2 weeks to get in and then she would call us. After 2 weeks had gone by I called the shop and another employee pulled it up and said that it is scheduled to be in 2 months from that date. I was shocked and worried that it would not be in by the time she needed it and then if we needed any alterations we would be pressed for time. When the dress came in we went the following day to pick up and then brought it home for my daughter to try on. Not only is it way too big on her where there is at least 2 inches around her that needs to be taken in. But, the lining is showing by 2 inches in the front slit and it should not be showing at all. Plus there were tons of threading all over the dress that needed to be cut and pulled off. The dress was silver sequins and it had some green and blue thread balled up all over it. I am extremely frustrated and want to scream!!! After calling the store and letting them know my frustrations they just said that we dont take appts. for alterations she will just have to try and come in asap so that they could possibly get it done in three weeks when the event is 3 weeks away. I now have to take my daughter out of school tomorrow so that I can drive the hour to get there and get this dress altered! I am sure that they will charge me too an arm and a leg for the alterations since they will be so severe! I will never buy a dress from this store again. For 525.00 you would think that you would not only get a beautiful dress but good customer service! Now after seeing and reading all of the alterations review I am taking the dress to my seamstress to have her look at it. I want to know what she thinks of the lining showing in the front slit! The Dress in the store that we tried on which was a 6 that they pinned with a clamp it was not showing at all and this dress a size 2 the slip is showing by 2 inches. I am just soooo frustrated and Very Dissapointed that I did not see these reviews online before going here. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Let me start by saying this - I am Christian woman who very much believes in showing mercy, extending grace, and have honestly never taken the time to submit a bad review for a business. But unfortunately, my terrible experience with M2 Milan has inclined me to do just that. I cannot in good faith recommend this business to any customer - especially soon-to-be brides. Customer service was stellar during my first appointment at Milan with trying on dresses and picking "the one". Every sales rep in the building was complimenting me, going out of their way offering their help, and even crowding around the mirror to watch me twirl and carefully weigh my dress options. It felt like the special moment going wedding dress shopping with your mom was supposed to feel like. That all changed when I returned months later to pick up my ordered dress and ask about alterations. Those same doting sales rep had now changed their tune, and had LESS time for me now that I had already been a paying customer. "Who are you?" "Are you sure you ordered a dress from here?" they would yell across the room when trying to find my dress from the back. Once found (20 min later) - the dress was all but flung at me and not a word was exchanged while the dressing room was unlocked for me to try on. They unlocked the door and disappeared. No assistance - no "let me know if you need anything" - no nothing. I felt like I was a nuisance to them, and I tried to ignore the rude behavior initially, but it just kept on. After trying on the dress and coming out of the dressing room to stand on the pedestal for me and my mom to get a good look, the sales ladies just kind of looked me up and down and turned around. No words again. I then approached them and asked about alterations and a rude lady from the back finally came out and started prodding me with pins telling me "you need this tighter here" or "we need to let out a lot right here". Not even a hello, how are you, or any form of introduction. It was hurried and insincere. She couldnt even be bothered to listen to how I WANTED my alterations done. Just placed some pins and shouted a cost, and then disappeared again to the back room. It was a complete mess. Everyone in there acted as if they had a hot lunch in the back we were keeping them from. Whats worse is - we left in a hurry, refusing to do our alterations business with them, and later my mom stormed back inside the store to express how deeply disappointed with their customer service she was and how they should be ashamed for ruining her daughters special wedding dress shopping trip, and they seriously said NOTHING. Acted as if we were imagining it. The owner didnt even feel inclined to try to call and apologize somehow to make it right. Girls - this is a special time in your life. Go to a place that values your business and YOU as their treasured bride and customer. NOT HERE.

I recently purchased my wedding gown at Milan Bridal and was scheduled to pick up my gown after alterations. When I tried on the gown, it was still two inches too big on each side as if alterations had never taken place. The seamtress tried to convince me that it would be just fine to wear that way, but I disagreed since the dress fell down everytime I moved. I was very disapointed as I had driven 3 hours to pick up my gown as planned and it was not done. The seamstress asked me to come back in an hour and when I did, the dress fit properly and I asked to have it steamed so that I could take it with me. I was given a hard time by Hilda about steaming the dress and after it all, I was just eager to get out of the store. When I got home, I tried the gown on again and it was then that I noticed that the tags had been removed and there were major errors in the alterations. When I contacted Christine and Steve (the owners of the store) about the poor workmanship, I was blown off completely and there was no resolution. I am completely unsatisfied with the quality of alterations done on the gown and with my experience with Milan Bridal in general. I had ALL of the alterations redone by another seamstress including my bustle (the seamstress claimed it was not possible to create the bustle I was hoping for, but the final seamstress elsewhere had no problem at all!) If you make the mistake of buying your dress in this store, take your alterations somewhere else!
