I purchased a tree at this store in April and it died not long after installation. I looked at the Home Depot website to see if I could get a refund for the item and found a 1-year guarantee on plants. No other information was written for the public to see on the website. So, I made sure to take my receipt and even an image of the dead tree to the store so that I could get a "fast and easy" refund. After driving all the way to the store and waiting in line, an associate told me that one must physically bring the dead item back to the store with a receipt to get a refund. I couldnt believe this ridiculous policy, and I dont remember reading this fine print anywhere on the website or on store signage. I then drove all the way back home, dug out the dead tree, and drove back to the store. After waiting in line again, I asked a rude cashier if I could have a refund for this tree. She told me, "not from me, nope, na-uh." I am not sure why any associate would talk to a customer in this manner. She then rudely said "go to returns" without giving any instructions as to where that was located. I then dragged the dead item all the way through the store to the return desk, where a gentleman was just finishing his transaction, which ended in awkward silence. I asked for a refund for my item and received it without any interaction with the associate. The associate also failed to say thank you or generally make me want to come back to the establishment. The transaction ended in awkward silence. I am not sure if the employees at Home Depot are trained in any way to respect customers or treat them like people, but I will surely think twice before returning to Home Depot. I feel a little cheated, because I have spent a lot of money at the corporation to be treated this way. Now I simply go to Lowes (where I bought a replacement tree). Im sure Home Depot will make changes to the advertisements for the "1-year guarantee" policy so that consumers are aware of the hoops they must jump through to get their money back....not.

Went to buy a new kitchen initially they were ok but we had 2 appointments with our designed where she was not there when we got to the store because of a "kitchen emergency" I am not a contractor or a kitchen designer so I am relying on their expertise to do things properly. One of the base cabinets was too large they did not factor in the counter top so the counter top was going to stick out into the doorway, that will not work my 2 year old does not need something else to hit her head on. My base cabinet for my sink was too small. I told them the dimensions of my sink, that I was keeping because it was less then a year old, was 28 inches. they gave me a sink base big enough for a 25" sink. I wasted 4000.00 on this kitchen and this has been going on for months. I will never go to Hope depot for as much as a nail anymore for all of the frustration and aggravation that they have put me through. This is supposed to be an exciting time and they completely took the excitement out of it. I dont even want the kitchen anymore but its installed so I am stuck with it. Beware of the kitchen department at this store...

I will no longer shop here because they refused my military id. There are only certain ones they take. It seems obvious that the hire- ups have never been in the military. I am a veteran of a foreign war and this is how Im treated, after the fact that they used to honor my service card. Never again, home depot. And rest assured that all the military associations will be made aware of this. I never shopped there for your customer service, of which there is none, but rather for the way you used to treat the military. Now, I have no reason what so ever to enter your store. HELLO LOWES!!

I bought a Toro 4 speed push mower 1yr ago, and along with it a 2yr warranty, well it started to idle roughly. Btw when I purchased warranty the customer service rep said and I qoute "you can bring it in for ANY REASON and you will get it replaced with a new one" well when I called the store they offered to repair it for me, and I said no thats not what I was told and I know what thats gonna lead to anyway months of rerepairs! anyway long short, they lied!

My wife & i purchased a riding lawnmower at HOME DEPOT 4 Yrs ago, & It turned out to be a GREAT & SMART buy. The Salesman gave us a SUPER DEAL & its been RUNNING like a CHAMP EVER SINCE. We also took our 2 Grandchildren to the Saturday Workshop for Young Builders, & its FUN watching & helping them build their PROJECTS. Our SON is a Former EMPLOYEE of that Store Location & HE told us that HE ENJOYED working THERE. It is a GREAT PLACE to SHOP AT!

The gentlemen working in the plumbing section is a genius at customer service. I was replacing a friends hot water tank and needed some non standard adapters. Luckily, I had the forethought to take pictures of what I had and the guy suggested exactly what I needed.

Seems smaller than other Home Depots. Went to check out the flowers and outdoor section. Decent selection but Lowes has better.
