Let me get this off my chest. My son worked for the Verizon store in Patterson, NY on RT. 22 in the Acme Shopping Center for 3 years. Rarely missed a days work, pretty much had the highest sales volume every month, trained the new employees etc. His boss asked him once again if he could train this new guy to be a manager at the store as opposed to giving ******** a management position in which he did. So the boss comes in 2 days ago and tells Brandon, "I heard you are going into the military service". ******** says yes, but they probably wont be calling me up for a month or 2. So the boss says, "well I hope you were going to give me 2 weeks notice" so ******** replies that yes of course he would. Yesterday, *"******* comes home and says, "Dad, I just got fired" he was very upset, told me he was shocked, hurt, felt like he got stabbed in his heart. I asked him why. He said he had no idea except that the boss said he is taking the business in a new direction. Then he told ********, (in front of the other employees, not behind closed doors) your done, get the @#$& out, and go home and get the key you use when you open up for me and bring it back here. The other employees laughed at first because they thought it was a joke, but then when they realized the guy was serious, they all got very upset. No reason, no respect to give ******* the notice he wanted, no severance pay. Just "Get the @#$& out, your done" when ******* brought the key back, all the owner had to say was, "Go get unemployment, good luck in the Air Force" this is the reward and respect you give to kid that was good to you and your company, a kid that is going into the military for the next 4 years. No real explanation for firing him except, "I am taking the business in a different direction" (we all know the real reason) I told *********, not to be upset, he did you a favor. Go enjoy your time off before you go in. Correct me if Im wrong, but Id say this was really a &@£%bag move on the part of Verizon in Patterson

You should beware of this store. They misrepresented themselves as a Verizon Wireless company store to my mother and advised her she had "five days" to exchange an iPhone 4 (after deciding on it over a 4S). When she went back THE NEXT DAY they told her there was a $100 restock fee (As opposed to Verizons restock fee of $35). When she advised them that they told her she had 5 days, they denied it, and produced a document she had signed agreeing to the $100 fee. Yes, she signed a document, but they clearly were dishonest and misrepresented themselves. BE SURE YOU READ ALL OF YOUR PAPERWORK CAREFULLY BEFORE YOU SIGN ANYTHING WITH THESE THIEVES. I will tell you that she has been a customer there for awhile, she had 3 phones on her account, and by being dishonest, they have lost a potentially valuable customer.

The manager of the store along with the employees are amazing, the owner not so much. He fired my brother for no good reason. He dedicated 3 years to this company to be stabbed in the back. I understand having to let people go, but to curse them out in front of others and giving NO reasonable explanation for terminating my brother is inexcusable. The only reason I gave two stars are for the employees who are extremely helpful and the very customer service oriented manager.

I am a retired Army Vet with over 20 years in the Regular Army. 4 Combat tours. The customer service was awesome. Brian took the time to show me the latest and greatest phones. He each and every question for me. I like the fact that the ownership supports the DAV. This store goes above and beyond the Brewster store. Well worth the trip .

Apparently the person who runs this store is a scumbag that fired a dedicated good kid for enlisting in the military..what kind of person does that?? Dont give this franchise store any business, let him feel the wrath of true Americans. He should be glad there are good kids that are willing to sacrifice for our country...

I went in to buy a new phone because the battery kept dying on my current phone. The manager at this location instead told me it was only a battery problem which cost me significantly less. These guys have earned a customer for life and when you are it is truly time to upgrade my phone, Ill be back for sure!

Well if its true, apparently the scum boss fired an employee who was going into the military. Ive been a Verizon customer since they began and this just makes me wanna switch to another provider. May Karma come back and bite this scumbag in the ass and he can enjoy the unemployment line.

The manager just fired an employee after he gave verbal notice that he was joing the US Air Force but wasnt leaving for a month or two. Federal law prohibits this. Boycott this store and spread the word.
