The staff here has absolutely ZERO business etiquette combined with ZERO interpersonal skills. My girlfriend and I came here this week to pick up an online order. Not only were we completely ignored by numerous employees who were standing around doing absolutely nothing, but to make matters worse the employees were staring at us as if we were supposed to approach them. There are no signs whatsoever anywhere telling you what to do, where to go, or who is who. Its an open room with no instructions. They got rid of the sign-in kiosks so we felt like complete idiots wandering aimlessly. Employees were wearing regular clothing so they blended in with the customers (hoodies, jeans, jackets, shoes, etc.). We approached one of the employees who was on her personal phone and it was immediately obvious we were bothering her. When we were eventually called, the employee who came to us was rude and did not greet himself or say hello.. just, "let me see your drivers license" and "go to the desk." At the desk, this same employee and (I would assume) the manager came out with our order, held the bag in front of us and dangled it there.. no words, nothing. Uhh, DO YOU SPEAK ENGLISH? We asked if we should sign for the pick-up and they gave us blank stares, looked at each other and just said, "Uhh, you paid for it already" and laughed. Welcome to the new generation of young employees. Zero training in business etiquette and completely oblivious staff who have zero concept of building customer relationships. Unfriendly, antisocial and lackluster "salespeople" who are nothing short of an embarrassment to Verizon. Many other reviews mention the antisocial staff and confusing atmosphere so Im not alone.. RIP the good old days.

I came to this store to trade in and upgrade my smartphone. First, the worker who decided to help me inspected every inch of my galaxy s7 to make sure it was in good condition to trade in. But he was not able to do this on his own, and he went and got each of his co-workers opinions. He came back to me and said my phone held no value because of the smallest crack on the back corner of my smartphone, a crack so small that I had never even noticed it until before. The Verizon worker then told me Id have to pay off the rest of my contract for an upgrade, $180 I was not willing to spend. I was so shocked that they wouldnt take my galaxy s7 because of such a small and insignificant crack on the edge of the phone. I was also pissed off that the verizon worker took off my screen protector and didnt even bother to replace it; my phone walking in the door was in better condition! I then went to the Verizon store on Route 66 in Neptune. They deemed the phone in excellent condition! They upgraded me with an iPhone 7 for free and took my galaxy s7 as part of the deal. They even hooked me up with a free $50 case and screen protector for my new phone. This just really showed me how hard the Ocean store tries to rip people off! Go to Neptune they will take care of you so much better!

This evening I stopped to pick up a wireless headset on my way home from dinner. I noticed that the store closed at 8pm, however they were still a few customers inside and it was 7:57pm when I got out of my vehicle. The doors were locked though, but what surprised me was two different employees walked by and ignored me till I tapped on the door to get their attention. A female employee who was sitting down with two customers came to the door and told me through the door "sorry, were closed," my response was I raining and since there are others finishing up may I make a quick purchase." Again, to my surprise walked away and as I walked back to my vehicle in the rain she pointed at me and laughed as if I completely out of line. I got in my vehicle and another employee was letting customers outside, I asked to speak to a manager, his comment was barely understandable and he locked the door and the three employees all walked in the back of the store to never be seen again. I drove off and I seen the three of them standing by their lockers. They saw me, waved and laughed. What terrible customer service!

I would give 0 stars if it was an option. Went to bring my daughters phone in because it was not taking a charge and girl told me the phone would be covered under one year defect warranty. The screen on phone was cracked and she physically handled the phone for 15 minutes never once mentioning a cracked screen voided the charging deflect! Then I was charged $329 for returned phone due to cracked screen!!! When I spoke to The Manager he basically accused me of cracking the screen AFTER visiting the store, CAN U IMAGINE ????? Basically telling me the damage was not there the day I came in!!! The absolute nerve, and he was the manager! Disgusting. I pay a ridiculous amount of money every month for sub par cell service and random unexplained fees then to add insult to injury accuse me of lying! Enraging !!!! Guess I should start recording my visits to retail stores now! Please Save yourself money and aggervation and go anywhere else! I will be!

Without a doubt the most pleasant experience in any Verizon store Ive ever had. After a horrific experience at the Verizon Wireless store in East Brunswick NJ location that left me angry, upset, and my daughter in tears (and no sales for them), I decided to visit this location since we were going to the beach. Am I glad I did. The store was crowded as I soon learned why. After waiting a bit, the most pleasant sales rep Ive ever countered helped us upgrade a phone and pick out accessories. He had the most polite manners. He even shook not only my hand after the sale but also my wifes who stood by me the entire time and never said a word to him. He even walked us out! I was floored by his professionalism, good manners, and great customer service. This store understands Customer Service and deserves the high ranking you see here.

How do you know when a Verizon employee is trying to cheat you? Hes existing within a 50 foot radius of you. Brought in an old iPhone for credit on my bill. Was told I could get $37-something to put towards a tablet. No thanks, just bill credit. The guy puts it through and I receive $6.66 (appropriate, no?) credit on my account. Wheres the other $30? Oh, your iPhone has "locate my phone tracking" activated, and that needs to come off. Okay, whatever. Take off the tracking. 20 minutes later, "Youre good, we put through a $30 credit." Let me see it. "Ummm, thatll take another 5 minutes." They finally show me, and theyve put through $30, but the initial $6.66 they gave me is gone. Seriously guys? Fine, you can keep the $6 and change if that makes you happy. Im switching providers.

Not sure what happened since the last review. Popped in today since my old flip phone looks like it is ready to die sometime soon. I figured it would be a good excuse to upgrade and see what plans are out now. When I entered the store, no one greeted me. I checked out the phones and grabbed a pricing list. I stood around waiting about 20 minutes and I guess I had on my invisibility cloak.
