Im sad and dissapointed that I have rate this store as a one star in order to comment. Me and my fiance went to fish section excited to look at the fish, but were disgusted with a catfish shark that will grow to 4 feet in a tank with a bunch of crabs that has torn off all but of its fin. My fiance went to go look for help because we wanted to "rescue"-buy the fish. My fiance stood there while she called for customer assistance in the fish section before she came back. We waited there for customer service for 30 minutes after the associate had "made" the call. After 30 minutes I called the customer service desk to ask for assistance for the second time from within the store. The representative said that she would page someone to help us, but no help came. 30 minutes after that we moved the shark to an empty tank OURSELVES. We decided to pay for our things, get lunch, and come back to get the shark for the THIRD time. The subway store within the Walmart was equally as terrible. The server was very rude: swearing in front of customers, displaying a terrible attitude, and came off very aggressive. I asked him for cheese for my fiances pretzel and he told me there was no cheese and "this isnt no circus". My fiance hated the pretzel because it was hard and dry. After this terrible experience we went back to buy the fish. We ran into a associate who said that the cashier in the Christmas section could page someone for us. I then went the cashier who said for me to do it myself, there was a manual and to "have fun." So we all of this to rescue a poor beautiful catfish that very poorly treated and in danger of death. This Walmart was the worst walmart ever and should never keep fish because they do not seem to know how to keep them. We will never go to this Walmart ever again because the employees need a reality check.

I shop here often as its way nicer than the west st.paul store. Im disappointed how small the grocery section and game card section is. Dont bother buying fish there. Im afraid theyre doomed from the start. As for customer service goes, its hit or miss. I recommend a few people personally. Jason in electronics, a super nice guy in a wheel chair. (So you know what awesome to look for ) Joyce the cashier. Chris the cashier. Both very nice friendly people. Theres one or two more cashiers that are cool too, Im just bad at names. Dont go to the gut named Nur (I have no clue how to spell) hes not very friendly and kind of creepy. He doesnt speak English which is frustrating. Its true that no one can be found for help on the sales floor. And some of management are ass holes to both customers and employees. My fiance and I were walking passed Jason in electronics when a manager yelled at him "you have to take care of the customer in site to store!" I understand the urgency but there was a support manager doing NOTHING and Jason couldnt just leave electronics. Theives exist. I never get a hello from management and most are quick to run. Or they look like they hate their job. If youre in the area, come to oak park heights location!

I usually go to the this Walmart after work around 12am-1am for some quick items when I need it, the staff at this time look like they hate their jobs! I have never had a worker who works there approach me and ever ask me if I need any help or even greet me, the cashier at this time (who is a "lead" doesnt even say hi when she rangs me up) which I dont mind because its early in the morning but you should still not show customers that you dislike your job! Like come on act like when you were desperate to get the job in the first place or a smile would not hurt!!! Ive worked many retails in my younger days and I know what good customer service is, this place is only good to get your crap you need and get out. Dont expect the service you would think youd get shopping at Walmart.... But then again, its Walmart not target LOL.

The store itself if fine, for a Wal-Mart. However, I am continually surprised how invisible the employees on the sales floor appear to be. I went to this Wal-Mart in the afternoon on a weekday, not a particularily busy time. I needed help finding a certain item. So I wondered around for about 5-6 minutes looking for an employee. There was not a sales associate in sight. Eventually I got so frustrated that I gave up. On my way towards the exit, an older woman stopped me and asked if I could direct her towards Office Supplies. She apologized because she knew I didnt work there, but she couldnt find an employee. I dont blame the employees individually, but I more so blame their customer service training - they should be seeking out customers to make sure they are finding everything alright. Not the other way around.

I am never buying a new release game for a console at this Wal-Mart again. I have now gone to the store for two multi-million dollar games on their release days. The first one, this particular Wal-Mart didnt even have for either console, where other Wal-Marts in the area did. Today, I called right before midnight, and the lady told me "I dont have it in my hand, so I cant help you. Call back after midnight." So I did. The sequel release that I wanted to purchase was only available for the Xbox360. Its like they forget to order certain titles for each console. Not to mention, in my case, I had to wander around for 20 minutes to find anyone to help me. A warehouse guy finally did help me, but told me they only got new releases for the Xbox. I will be purchasing from Gamestop or Best Buy from now on.

This is probably the worst Wal-Mart in their fleet. It is old, smelly, and out dated. I have had trouble with some (emphasis on some) of their employees. I dont know if Wal-Mart figured they have lost to Target in this area and so they have given up, but I do my best to avoid this store. My recommendation is to abandon their current site, and build a new Super Wal-Mart in the soon to be out of business Cub Food Town Center Location. Note: Cub Food going out of business at this location is per speculation on my part based off of the new HyVee that is due to open. I cannot imagine that this Cub location (previously rainbow for those who remember) will survive with this new market player.

This location is probably the worst walmart I have ever shopped at. Their selection of health and beauty items is insufficient, the signage in the small grocery section is confusing and sometimes missing, and check out is a nightmare! If you expect to just grab a couple things and head to self checkout, you will be sorely disappointed; this location does not have self checkout. The cashiers on the single express (10 items or less) lane are rude and abnormally slow. Go to any other walmart location in the area (Inver Grove Heights, Burnsville) or switch to target!
