After purchasing and installing 4 Michelin tires on my 07 Toyota Camry Hybrid at Sears White Marsh, the TPMS (tire pressure monitor sensor) light on my dashboard would not go out. They replace parts of the TPMS system on all tires at Sears when you install new tires. The procedure they prescribed for resetting it did not work and they never tried to troubleshoot my problem, so they could fix it. After repeated visits and phone calls to Sears Automotive to get the sensors reset (where the manager I was to see was never available, either over the phone or in person), the assistant manager advised me to go to the Toyota dealership to resolve my problem. The dealer determined that a sensor had been damaged during installation at Sears and replaced one TPMS. The cost for the part was $116 and the labor required for checking all four tires and TPMS, as well as resetting all the TPMS codes was $190 (2 hours). Sears did not follow the proper procedure for my car when removing the old tires and handling the TPMS. I took the $300+ bill to Sears for reimbursement, but, of course, they refused to accept responsibility for the damage; insisting that the sensor could have been damaged already when I initially brought the car in for tire replacement. The Toyota dealer refutes that charge by stating that the TPMS light would have been lit on my dashboard to indicate a malfunction in the system--and the light was definitely off when they began work on my car. Sears believes my Toyota warranty should cover the replacement of the sensor, but Toyota refuses to accept that claim, as they clearly saw that it was the Sears technician ineptitude that caused the problem. So, $300 later (after paying $700 for new tires, TPMS replacement parts and an alignment at Sears), I am spending enormous amounts of time trying to get Sears to act ethically and reimburse me. I fear it may never happen. DO NOT BUY TIRES FROM SEARS IF YOU HAVE TPMS ON YOUR CAR. Signed, A very frustrated and disgruntled customer

My wifes car started shaking real bad at Belair and Rossville while she had the kids in the car so she went to Sears Auto Center at whitemarsh mall. There synopsis was that we needed a rack and pinion and both left and right front lower control arms immediately and that it would cost $1600 parts and labor. I called around and found the rack for $350 and the control arms for about $100 each (standard auto rosedale). Theres a great garage at belair and Kenwood that gave me a install quote of $550 well they did there own diagnosis and told me I didnt need anything that Sears said I needed... All I needed was two new front rims because the rims had been bent from maybe a pothole (my wife never has any idea of how the car was damaged). The rims cost me $75 each and $30 to mount and balance and we have not had the shaking since. So $1600 vs $180 is a huge difference. Bottom line never go to Sears auto they are not honest and more greedy then the real dealerships.

I have read the other reviews on here and can only assume that the people leaving negative reviews either got lost on their way to Sears and ended up in some other shop OR, for whatever reason they are not being completely honest about their experiences?? I own seven vehicles and have been going to Sears White Marsh with all of them for probably the last 10 years. I have had everything done there from an oil change to injectors on my dually to a complete engine install on my 96 Powerstroke and everything in between! The one constant in my 10 years of experience at Sears White Marsh is the level of service has been first rate! And ...........on the rare occasion that something doesnt go quite as expected, the manager Matt Elick has always gone well above and beyond to make things right! I dont know where these other reviewers have been getting their cars repaired but I highly recommend Sears White Marsh!

I thought buying a new washer/dryer from sears meant a level of customer service. Sure the sales team will promise you everything. We bought a very expensive set only to have the delivery date missed not once but twice because they called the wrong number and left no message. Once it was FINALLY delivered the dryer door was broken and was not installed properly. A tech was sent (who also missed the first promised time - and lied why) only to not be able to fix the problem - shocker! Finally I asked to have it returned to only have a team come to pick it up AFTER it was already picked up earlier that day. What a logistical nightmare and entirely too many hours on my end figuring this out - so now I am still out a washer/dryer after a month... Thanks for nothing sears solutions. Now I will have to fight to get a credit.

Heres what Ive learned.. And Let me tell you what I dont like about SEARS AUTO CENTER. If you bring in your vehicle... And if there is any little thing wrong with your vehicle... They will say theres MORE wrong with it. So if you only need back rotors Done... They will say you need ALL 4 done. They WILL get money out of you. I remember I had a nail in one of my tires... They said they had to replace all of my tires... You talking $1100. I went in the city and all I needed was for someone to plug it! I paid $30 and Ive been driving my vehicle for over a year with NO problem. My advice to anyone who comes here is to GO GET A SECOND OPINION before you begin digging in your pockets.

Dropped my car off for an alignment. My car is a bit modified and they said it wont be a problem, they CAN do it. It took them almost two hours to tell me they CANNOT do it since they do not have the capability and my "tire rod" is seized and needs to be replaced first. I wasted my time for nothing. When they parked my car outside the lot, did not bother closing the windows. I have stuff inside my car. Did not even apologize. BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! Went to a different car shop to do my alignment and they said theres nothing wrong with my TIRE ROD. I am definitely NOT coming back. I should have read all the reviews first before going there. Avoid this place!!!! TRUST ME!!

Told her to take to Best Buy and have them say it was working??? When I got there to drop off my car, the wait time to talk to someone was a little long (45 minutes and I had an appointment) but some of that is to be expected when going to a high volume location. Still, they get 5 stars from me because they looked at the problem I brought it in for, fixed it, charged me the quoted price, and did not try to sell me anything else. Very happy!
